Had to go to the grocery store for 30 minutes when the Wolves were up 20. I was in complete shock when I saw the Grizzlies up by 5.

Random question (I have seen only the full HL on YT because the match wasn't covered):

It's true that we didn't call a TO during 21-0 MEM run?? Finch was sleeping?? But the bench or Prigioni or the staff too: what were they doing?

How is that possibile that a player like KAT takes only 4 shoots in a game 3 of PO? Speechless. No one managed to wake him up?

When we were up +25 we tried to hit open o easy shot or we forced ? We tried to "play" with the time (24sec)?

I can't believe we blow out a match like this. Starting 12-0 and ruined two times.
We actually won and lost the same game twice..

I dont want to be emotional but I think the series is done. I dont think we can recover after this embarassing loss.
This single loss is on Finch + Towns and that's for sure, but the real issue is that this team has a lot of structural problems that will be really hard to fix in the offseason. With the current roster we can fight for a playoff spot but that's all, we have no cap space, no draft capital, no tradable assets.

This is all on Rosas and his dumb decisions.

1. draft 2019 - trading the 13th and a valuable player for a bust, while we could have select Herro, Cam Johnson, PJ Washington, Thibulle, Clark.
2. spring 2020 - trading wiggins + unprotected 2022 pick for DLO (Mobley, Barnes, Giddey)
3. draft 2020 - trading down the 18th pick. Yes we ended with Jaden but the pick of Bolmaro was totally no-sense given the player that were still available.

Number one, how do you make a trade not knowing if the player you are targeting will even be there?? What a dumb move by Rosas.

Number 2, there is no way the warriors would have turned down a top 7 protected pick for DLO who was going to be an expensive backup for them, rosas was an impatient idiot.

Number 3. Bolmaro was a mistake, passing on Bane the best three point shooter in the entire 2020 draft who was perfect fit for wolves offense was abhorrent. Rosas was an idiot but at least he got the Ant and McDaniels picks right.

Hard to understand what the Wolves' game plan is vs. Memphis. In game 1, they sustained an offense the whole game and KAT and Edwards both got it going, at least part of the time, or the whole game in the case of Edwards.

In game 3, it seems like they built the big leads off transition, got some turnovers, some stops and ran. So maybe they never established good rhythm on offense. KAT seemed to be content to defer to DLo and Edwards, since they had big leads for big parts of the game.

So was there a game plan for the coach to tell the players to get back to when Grizzlies were making those runs?

A lot of their offense came from shotmaking by Ant and Dlo (in game 3). Those are high-difficulty shots, step back 3 pointers which are contested well. Hard to keep making those.

They got good looks during transition, for catch and shoot takes but they couldn't create those open looks consistently enough.

I think KAT is getting a bad whistle, if it's marginal, he's almost always getting called for the foul. But he needs to be dominating Clark and Tillman, getting offensive boards. Though I just heard Bill Simmons berate KAT for going for an offensive rebound because Grizzlies are so dangerous in transition.

I’m gonna go pick it up on top of this loss. Rethink life choices on why I follow sports. Maybe take up theater, the arts, coffee house music

Don't give up on sports, but absolutely support your local theater. The arts have just been devastated these past two years. I have friends in that industry and they are struggling.

This franchise never ceases to amaze me. How they manage to turn what was one of the most successful season in the last 20 years into one that leaves you with a bad taste in your mouth in one game is just mind-boggling to me.
The momentum totally shifted towards Memphis and I would be very surprised if we win another game tbh.
And I totally agree with most takes on the GB (which rarely happens): This team won't win anything unless KAT matures.

This was the worst game I've ever attended and some of the worst officiating I've ever seen.

Every time a Wolf catches the ball they stand there or dribble too much, allowing the defense to react. Kat catches the ball and simply allows the double team to come.

Catch the ball and GO! Ant should be driving to the hoop more, Towns should attack the moment he catches the ball.

And for Finch not to call a timeout during that crazy run is simply unacceptable.

This team needs a true leader because it's not KAT. Dude needs to grow way the hell up or get out of dodge.

Sun rose today in Minnesota so that’s a plus

But it’s 20 degrees below average and it’s supposed to be rainy and windy all day

Screw this cursed state

Do you think the guys will be able to erase the dross of this blow and win game 4? Or do you believe that psychologically they are lost and there will be no history?

A W in Game 4 could be change the history of this series?

That's the big question about these young players, whether they have the resilience and the drive to compete or give up.

Lot of the key players are young. KAT and DLo are the oldest among the key players at 26?

So do they have the right competitive makeup or not?

Beverly likes to woof when things are going well. He punches down but doesn't seem to really challenge better opponents.

I don't know much about the head coach. Finch is only 52 (looks older) and this is his first HC job, though he has a great pedigree, worked for Malone and for Nurse.

Can he break down the problems the Wolves had in game 3 and come up with key points that the players should be thinking about, instill confidence in them that they can still compete? They have competed, in game 1 and big parts of game 3.

My biggest regret, should we lose this series, is that in game 1 and big parts of game 3 we have shown that we can easily beat Memphis...

I hope that the answer to my questions and yours is: YES.

Did you hear the “Mid’d up” during the game?
KAT was telling Ant “I know you want to drive more, but this is a shot blocking team. If the 3 is there, take it”.

Please ANT don’t listen to KAT. You don’t stop driving because you’re worried about a block, you go hard with confidence. They collapse you kick out.
This team and it’s “best player” played the chuck 3 because they might block my shot game, and it cost them.

Next game.
Move the ball, be decisive, and attack with confidence. Never stop attacking.

In the first qtr when Beverley was going hard, he’d get in the trees and pass it off to vando or another guy for what should be an easy dunk.

The wolves don’t shot fake once. It’s the most predictable block for someone like Ja or JJJ who’s head hunting for blocks. Get those guys airborne THEN go up with it.

Vando was making fts so that was a plus. Why we went away from that offense to a dribble for 19 seconds just to hoist a terrible shot that let them back in is maddening

Could have just drafted him.

He dropped to #21 in the draft. He was linked to the Wolves at various times. But the Wolves decided to trade up rather than trade down that year and grabbed Jarrett Culver instead.

Oops.

Oops.

Wolves were mainly hoping to grab Garland though..they traded up to #6 hoping that Garland would be there but the Cavs took Garland with 5th pick and Wolves settled for Culver, who was the backup option.
