It's true that we didn't call a TO during 21-0 MEM run?? Finch was sleeping?? But the bench or Prigioni or the staff too: what were they doing?
How is that possibile that a player like KAT takes only 4 shoots in a game 3 of PO? Speechless. No one managed to wake him up?
When we were up +25 we tried to hit open o easy shot or we forced ? We tried to "play" with the time (24sec)?
I can't believe we blow out a match like this. Starting 12-0 and ruined two times.
We actually won and lost the same game twice..
Hard to understand what the Wolves' game plan is vs. Memphis. In game 1, they sustained an offense the whole game and KAT and Edwards both got it going, at least part of the time, or the whole game in the case of Edwards.
In game 3, it seems like they built the big leads off transition, got some turnovers, some stops and ran. So maybe they never established good rhythm on offense. KAT seemed to be content to defer to DLo and Edwards, since they had big leads for big parts of the game.
So was there a game plan for the coach to tell the players to get back to when Grizzlies were making those runs?
A lot of their offense came from shotmaking by Ant and Dlo (in game 3). Those are high-difficulty shots, step back 3 pointers which are contested well. Hard to keep making those.
They got good looks during transition, for catch and shoot takes but they couldn't create those open looks consistently enough.
I think KAT is getting a bad whistle, if it's marginal, he's almost always getting called for the foul. But he needs to be dominating Clark and Tillman, getting offensive boards. Though I just heard Bill Simmons berate KAT for going for an offensive rebound because Grizzlies are so dangerous in transition.
