I don't think they're struggling with the Pelicans because of him. They're struggling because they have a smart coach who is playing a huge lineup that the Suns just can't guard. They're a bad matchup for the Suns, outside of Mikal Bridges and Ayton they just don't have the length to defend the below lineup:

6'3 McCollum at PG
6'7 Herb Jones at SG
6'8 Ingram at SF
6'11 Hayes at PF
7'0 Valanciunas at C

If you guys haven't noticed a lot of teams are going back to huge frontcourts. I hope our front office at least has noticed it.

I think you've got it flipped.

The Suns aren't struggling to guard the Pelicans.

The Suns are struggling against the Pelicans defence.

I really wanted to trade batum for horford, I’m not sure if it was ever entertained. He was hard done by the terrible fit in Phillie, back at Boston and he is showing his value as a veteran big man. Smart defender, passer and team player. He would have been great for our young team

Jazz shot 10% from 3 in loss to Mavs last night with Mitchell + Conley + Bogdanovic + Clarkson a combined 0-19! Yikes

I said the same on the general board, he shared the ball, shot the ball when needed and lead them with his attitude.

I’d honestly consider him for us next year.

If Hayward is on the team and we hire Snyder I could see it happening.

Hope watching this series motivates Lamelo. He's not as good as Edwards and not in the same world as Morant currently

I think Ayton might be the Suns most impactful player, I'd be over the moon if he suited up for the Hornets.

Mavs Moneyball with a pretty good take on how the series is going down. Interesting to see whether Snyder does the obvious and gets Gobert more touches to save the season. Should answer a few questions.

The Jazz’s offense ranked first in the NBA during the regular season, according to data from Cleaning the Glass, scoring 117.6 points per 100 possessions. In two games against the Mavericks, that number is 114.7 points per 100 possessions —not a seemingly glaring drop, but if this were the regular season that would drop the Jazz from first to eighth.

By far the biggest reason for the Mavericks success? Dallas running the Utah shooters off the three point line.

The Mavericks have almost cut the Jazz’s three point rate in half, from a league leading 43.3 percent in the regular season to only 29 percent through the first two playoff games. Relatedly, the Jazz rate of shots inside the paint but outside of the restricted area have increased — those shots making up 34 percent of the Jazz’s total shots so far in the playoffs, compared to 20.5 percent in the regular season.

The Mavericks will live with these shots all day, especially since Gobert isn’t killing them in the paint as much as he has in the past. A combination of Utah seemingly refusing to pass to Gobert when he’s open and Gobert’s own ineffectiveness with the ball in Game 2 has plagued a potential Jazz counter to the Mavericks scheme. Gobert getting free near the rim could be trouble and force the Mavericks weakside defenders to crash down even harder, which in turn could open up the three point shots for the Jazz.

draft Daniels, sign Exum and Baynes and we can almost have an all aussie bench

Unfortunately I think Baynes will never recover from his injury enough to play NBA again

The Utah Jazz are out. Snyder is still a good coach, his players just choked.

I like Snyder because he has won and he has experience coaching star guards and an elite defense (back when the Jazz actually had decent perimeter defenders).

To get him to come to Charlotte though MJ is going to have to pay him 3x what he paid Borrego. I'm sure all things being equal he'd probably rather coach here than the **** show Lakers, but he isn't going to take a 4 million dollar pay cut to do so.

Doc Rivers really is an idiot, there was no need to play embiid in a blow out, it was clearly getting chippy.
