Please do my Rep on Misses is better than the knicks Drafting record.
I loved Mikal, loved Haliburton, and was advocating they move up for Franz Wagner!
I was able to predict IQ and Miles Mcbride being drafted too.....
If they just made me the GMwe could be styling on fools
I like Mikal too but missed Haliburton() I recall you and WIngo liking him....I was big on IQ too. Who's your guy @11? I want to traded up with Portland. Who do you like @6-7?
I don’t know![]()
No one in this draft has wowed me and it’s a shallow. Especially for the Knicks that are always a win now team because they need to sell tickets.
I legit think outside of Banchero most of them mock to be high level roleplayers. Banchero has definite all star upside offensively. By the time the Knicks get to 11 they should have used assets to move up to 8 or even 9 to get the guy they want. He other top 4 (Jabari, Ivey, and Chet are good pieces though)
I like Sochan, Dyson Daniels, Kendall Brown, Johnny Davis, Tari Eason, and Mathurin. Gun to my head I think Sochan and Davis have the best shot of being starter level, maybe all stars. Sochan offensive game is rough, but he is a physical force. Davis reminds me of Jordan Clarkson aka a sixth man. His usage rate is 32% and is a testament to the fact he needs the ball in his hands. Both got a certain amount of knucklehead to their games that Thibs tends to hate too. Dyson Daniels could be up there too talent wise but his shot isn’t good, and if it doesn’t come around he is not a nba player. I do think he could be a good piece for a team in need of “connection tissue” like the Knicks. Mathurin feels like a Aaron Afflalo/Josh Hart level player which is this shallow draft a definite plus. Kendall Brown is athletically a freak but gives me Oubre vibes too. No way this FO even entertains taking a chance on Ousmane Dieng because they don’t believe in 2 years away from being 2 years away.
I say all of that to say…. They should probably identify who they like and be aggressive in getting them (aka move up) because this is a shallow draft, at 11 they might already be outside looking in on the players worth taking in the lottery. They could move down, but unlike last year. Your’re not getting a potential starter level player in the 20’s like Grimes.
What are your thoughts on Duren?
