Please do my Rep on Misses is better than the knicks Drafting record.

I loved Mikal, loved Haliburton, and was advocating they move up for Franz Wagner!

I was able to predict IQ and Miles Mcbride being drafted too.....

If they just made me the GM :banghead: we could be styling on fools :nonono:

I like Mikal too but missed Haliburton( :nonono: ) I recall you and WIngo liking him....I was big on IQ too. Who's your guy @11? I want to traded up with Portland. Who do you like @6-7?

I don’t know

No one in this draft has wowed me and it’s a shallow. Especially for the Knicks that are always a win now team because they need to sell tickets.

I legit think outside of Banchero most of them mock to be high level roleplayers. Banchero has definite all star upside offensively. By the time the Knicks get to 11 they should have used assets to move up to 8 or even 9 to get the guy they want. He other top 4 (Jabari, Ivey, and Chet are good pieces though)

I like Sochan, Dyson Daniels, Kendall Brown, Johnny Davis, Tari Eason, and Mathurin. Gun to my head I think Sochan and Davis have the best shot of being starter level, maybe all stars. Sochan offensive game is rough, but he is a physical force. Davis reminds me of Jordan Clarkson aka a sixth man. His usage rate is 32% and is a testament to the fact he needs the ball in his hands. Both got a certain amount of knucklehead to their games that Thibs tends to hate too. Dyson Daniels could be up there too talent wise but his shot isn’t good, and if it doesn’t come around he is not a nba player. I do think he could be a good piece for a team in need of “connection tissue” like the Knicks. Mathurin feels like a Aaron Afflalo/Josh Hart level player which is this shallow draft a definite plus. Kendall Brown is athletically a freak but gives me Oubre vibes too. No way this FO even entertains taking a chance on Ousmane Dieng because they don’t believe in 2 years away from being 2 years away.

I say all of that to say…. They should probably identify who they like and be aggressive in getting them (aka move up) because this is a shallow draft, at 11 they might already be outside looking in on the players worth taking in the lottery. They could move down, but unlike last year. Your’re not getting a potential starter level player in the 20’s like Grimes.

What are your thoughts on Duren?

What are your thoughts on Duren?

I actually think he is legit. I don’t see him falling past the blazers at #6, Spurs could grab him too, but I think the Blazers are primed to grab the best center in the draft. Thats if the league doesn’t gift them a move up because they need it. I didn’t mention Duren earlier because I do think the Knicks bring back Mitch. Anyhow once teams feel good about dumping the ball to Duren in the paint and then he can jump up and dunk or develop a little pop shot from outside the paint he’s going to have a good career.

Meant to say this earlier but Tari Eason is another good pick but he is so right hand dominant I don’t see how he operates as a wing in the NBA when he starts his NBA career. He’s going to need time to work on his off hand, because he can’t do much once you take his main hand away.

Wendell Moore Jr has grown on me. Anyone else that would like him on the Knicks.

I think the kid is going to be good right away.

Good news is at #11 we will get a rotation player or starter, the concern is will Thibs play him

I can see Mathurin or Davis being Best Available when we pick

Will these players be available at 12,13 or 14 where the Knicks wind up drafting? :D

Some team always jumps ahead of the Knicks as well, into the lottery, so put Knicks down for 12th or lower. :D

I think the 12th seed jumps us. Remember we were 12th until the pelicans won the play in tournament and pushed us up to 11. It’s just the most Knicks thing that can happen so it will happen

It's starting to look like a 5-player draft:

1) Ivey
2) Holmgren
3) Smith
4) Sharpe
5) Banchero

Another name nobody seems to mention is Ochai Agbaji.

I don’t think he’s going to come into the NBA and be a primary playmaker, but I do trust that he’ll be a reliable guy to knock down 3’s, defend at a high clip, make smart plays, and occasionally throw down exciting dunks.

I know we should probably be shooting for upside, but teams like the Heat/Raptors/Celtics drool over guys like this that can slide in, develop, and play heavy minutes. They just happen to have All-Stars on their roster and we don’t.

I hear you but that is drafting later too. We got Grimes who stat wise was a better college player than Ochai in a stronger draft class. Plus Grimes is a year younger. He isn’t a bad player. Especially in this shallow draft, but once again we have Grimes.

The last time an 11th seed moved up into the top 3 was 1993 when Orlando won the lottery - The Chris Webber/Penny Hardaway Draft
