Trading Coby for a pick improvement would be fine if AK had high conviction, but even moving to a top 10 pick doesn't do much to excite me.

I don’t see Coby moving us up 2 spots let alone 5… LET ALONE into the top 10.

He makes 7.5m this coming season and is a RFA next summer. Why would a team give up draft capital for that when they could go get, say, Tyus Jones in free agency?

I can confidently state that Michael Foster Jr. is already the steal of the draft. I think he's better than E.J Liddell right now, and I'm a huge fan of Liddell.

6'-8" 250 lbs. Nice mid range game. Decent hops. Nice stroke from outside that needs to be quickened up at the next level. But an intriguing possibility. He'd push Patrick for sure.

He averaged 15 ppg / 9 rpg / 2 assists / 2 tovs on .49/.31/.75 splits. With his height and high release, he won't be bothered by many defenders, but his shot looks a little wonky as it goes back over his head. Interesting player though.

Wonder why he isn’t being mocked up higher but for a second round pick may be worth it. Do the Bulls have a second round pick in this draft?

I'll take Leonard Miller. A long athlete we're missing. Very young but we have veterans who can mentor him.

Then the Bulls would have to buy or trade for a 2nd. No way I’m taking Foster at 18.

We might have to buy two in that case due to the Lonzo ridiculousness since the league is taking our nearest 2nd.

Anytime you give AK a chance to mix things up he seems to take that chance....I am fairly confident he'll do SOMETHING around the draft...it's an opportunity!

Will he be there at 18 and would the Bulls take him if say, Walker Kessler is still on the board?

Dont draft next Patrick Williams. Just draft next Ayo. I am talking about basketball mentality and intelligence how to play basketball to contribute. Raw tools is important, but it's not that most important. Dont pass on two or three year college basketball player because one prospect has better tools. Also I am not saying pass on raw prospect either. Judge them by intelligence of how they play ball. Do they get it, and if they get it do you see path for them to aquire new skill and use that skill. Tools themselves are meaningless if you dont use tools. Just like intelligence is meaningless if you dont use it and help yourself.

Ayo went from guy who did everything at college to role playing at NBA as rookie and didnt even felt it like it was struggle to adjust to new environment, new players, new role. Guys like that exist, now AK draft another one.

We have plenty of these guys though. We need elite frontcourt athletes and shooting

Like Patrick Williams? You wont find Giannis and KD guys at our range.

I'm not down on Ayo but Ayo was dog **** for pretty much all of April and the playoffs. Ayo gets a pass because he's a 2nd rounder from Chicago and I'm as happy as anybody he's a useful find in the 2nd round but let's not tie an entire draft philosophy around a 2nd round find.

Being flexible is important and I don't want the Bulls' FO to limit the type of prospects they are looking at. That is something that GarPax really struggled with at the end.

If both those guys are on the board the draft is already a HR for Chicago either way. I doubt Kessler drops to 18 however. Miller is so raw I expect him to be there late 1st. He's a Poole type imo. A guy that hopefully in three years is a borderline star but will need patience. Kessler I feel would be an immediate help in Chicago.

Speaking of Michigan guys (Poole)...I wonder if/how high Diabate will go. He is raw, but showed improvement during the season. He isn't currently in draft.net's mock 1st or 2nd round, but if we could buy a 2nd rounder, he has a high ceiling. I'm rooting for him to return to school next season though.
