Scottie back by insisting he run the offense and be the primary ball handler. And off ball SG Fred would be fine but I think his ego wouldn’t allow that cause he was waiting for Kyle to leave to take the reigns as the new Kyle. Fred to the knicks is interesting. I think we can get their center and their pick from them.
Fred deferred to Scottie exactly as often as nick nurse and Masai wanted him to.
We should be giving Fred, pascal and birch a pat on the back back for EXCEPTIONAL veteran leadership as well as the nurturing environment AND most IMPORTANTLY the insulation they provided our prized rookie.
Kid won rookie of the year as our 5th option on a team that almost had home court advantage. That unbelievably HUGE for his development. Waaaay more so then him getting an extra 1.25 assists per game and losing 10+ extra games.
eh, rather give him more responsibilities and win less games.
Winning 15-30 games didn't stop Giannis, KD, Doncic, Lebron etc. from becoming great.
