We have to assume one of our guards will be traded eventually!
Suggs has the higher value, even after his rookie season due to his two way potential. But right now Suggs is facing an uphill battle for playing time between Anthony and Fultz due to his injury recovery.
Maybe OKC can give us one of their future draft picks in exchange for Suggs especially if they draft Holmgren!
OKC is in love with Giddey and SGA. No need for Suggs.
Suggs just REALLY crapped the bed this year and DESTROYED hopes with how poorly he shot the ball. It's going to be years if he ever gets to an efficient level...IF he even gets there. Hell, he can't even get the excuse that he had a shoulder injury like Fultz. What I do know is that if Suggs does fulfill his draft potential, then he will replace Fultz. He's certainly not going to be an elite SG. Compare his highlights to Jalen Green/Anthony Edwards and he's not in the same stratosphere. Shaedon Sharpe on the other hand.... MMmm mmm mmm... Same mold.
It's unfortunate for us to have won the lottery and be forced to take a player that doesn't fit our biggest needs. Sad, just sad.
For as bad as Suggs was, the worst rookie in the league may have been Jalen Green, Atrocious for most of the year on offense, and equally, if not worse, on defense. In fact, he reminds me a lot of Anthony Edwards for much of his rookie campaign, even though Edwards turned it on a little earlier. And both of those guys had a point guard playing next to them.
Are Magic fans so self-loathing that they are ready to give up on a prospect after one year, who has already shown he can excel at one rather important aspect of basketball.
I'd argue that had we drafted Edwards or Green, you'd have tried and run them out of town too.
