When you play a team like the Celtics all the shots are going to be contested because they play playoff-type defense. Jabari will still be able to get shots off. That's why it's easier to envision him being a main guy on a championship-level team. He also plays the same level of defense.zaymon wrote:MartinsIzAfraud wrote:
Interesting Catch & Shoot numbers for this draft class. Jabari is ELITE & not just because he's getting open looks
Catch and Shoot 3 contested vs uncontested
Jabari contested 35/94 for 37.2% and uncontested 20/35 for 57.1%
Paolo contested 10/34 for 29.4% and uncontested 25/59 for 42.4%
Chet contested 15/42 for 35.7% and 17/42 for 40.5%
Its not a particularly good decision making taking so many contested shots by Jabari. NBA 3s are even further and he shot 38% overall on them. We blame his guards but how can they be in good rhytm when one player take's so many tough looks ? It was the same argument with Anthony and UNC offense. When one player hijacks the offense it makes it harder for rest of the team.
We talk about UNC how about this year ?
