Great shooter, elite athlete, solid defender. And he was the clear best player on the National Champs. It's no mystery. Kid's a stud. But we have no chance at getting him, so you don't have to worry about us drafting him.
I mean, he’s a 3&D wing. I see that and there’s value in that. But his athleticism doesn’t mean a whole lot to me when he can’t create offense for himself with it. Can’t create for others either. And that’s as a college senior. What’s the upside here? I just don’t see it.
Since he’s been mentioned now: I’d rather have MarJon, for example.
In a league where a player like Klay Thompson excels, scouts are always going to value players who don't need the ball and o be effective. I wouldn't be surprised if he's an 18-20ppg scorer in the league. All depends on where ends up. For instance if he ends up in a system like SAS or Charlotte he'll get unlimited open looks. I'm very high on him. Every player isn't going to be a great isolation threat.
KC Johnson mentioned him (along with Eason), as two players that would really fill needs for the Bulls. He compared him to Mikal Bridges.
He is mocked well above #18, but you never know- there's always a player or two or three who slip. And a lot can change before the draft, too.
