He is a natural PF too. He is the only player with a claim at two positions. LBJ and Magic are points.

I can’t put Bird below 9 unless I am putting 6 centers above him. Russell and Robinson must be above Bird to put Bird below 9.

I will not put Kobe, or Dirk or KG or Duncan above Bird.
I will need to reassess KD and Giannis later.

I suspect you are young. Or a longevity guy.

If my team had peak Robert Parish or peak David Robinson then Bird is a better power forward than Tim Duncan.
If I don’t have a defensive center then I might take Duncan for rim protection but Bird is better than Dubcan if somebody else is taking care of the rim protection.

Older LeBron woud be a fine power forward as well as small forward even if you took away his passing. LeBron might prefer not guarding power forwards but he could guard power forwards just fine.

You could plug Jordan in as a small forward replacing LeBron on LeBron’s teams and Jordan would be fine. The LeBron era small forwards would not exploit Jordan being a little small.

I consider Bird to be a power forward playing out of position on offense. On defense Bird did guard the power forwards. On offense I think Bird would have had better stats if he had been playing with a small forward.

I can't see him outside of the top 20 at all, but I could honestly see him slide slightly outside of someone's personal top 15 because of injuries.

PLEASE stop doing that.

LBJ needs the ball to much to be effective as a PF on offense. Defensively he is position portable, but offensively he is not.

Except he played a lot of this year off-ball and almost led the league in scoring at 37. He only plays on-ball because it's rarely more effective for him to be off-ball than on-ball but he's been an excellent off-ball player since 2012. Is he as "portable" offensively as Bird, no, but very few players are.
