wouldn't work. Ayton is getting a max contract. rob is on a bargain contract - salaries wouldn't match so trade wouldn't work. ayton's new contract is gonna be at least double what rob is making.

We can give them Theis haha

Timelord shot 25/28 from the line in the playoffs (89.3%).
He shot 35/42 in the regular season since January 1st (83.3%).
So overall in 2022, he's at 60/70 good for 85.7%.

That's elite for a big.

He's got a nice touch. I can see him developing a Horford-style three point range later in his career.

My respect for Rob went through the roof after this year, proud of this guy, what a warrior.

Health is the only question with Rob. Going back to the draft he fell because of the thrombosis issue, his first 2 years dominated by health problems. When he is 100% he is a game changer, and I agree that he can add a decent 3 point shot. However until he shows he can stay healthy long term we need to invest in another good big who can play C.

Depends on your definition of "good", but this is why my first choice with TP-MLE is Hartenstein. Might never be more than a 16-18 minute option, but there is a chance for more. (I also am 100% hoping for a Clippers 21/22 offseason redo signing both he and Giles but with spot for both on the roster).

I've always thought he had a nice touch that could be developed. I think his start with missing events and the whole "Timelord " thing sometimes hides his high basketball IQ. He has room and ability to get better in other areas.

That’s the hope, but he hasn’t shown anything as a shooter. Form looks ok from midrange, he lines up and rises slowly, but that’s fine, he just has to be able to make wide open looks. I’d start there. Three point shot would be a few years away. But he’s not going to be Drummond. I’m way more interested in his passing and facilitating, if he can knock down 15-footers, you can run things through him. Also makes him better in the pick and roll if he’s a minor pop threat.

Hartenstein is really interesting but I don’t think he’s mobile enough to fit our defensive system. I could be wrong..

All we need is a Backup for this Guy (Rob Williams), and Al Horford.

Yeah, take some more 15 footers and then see if he can add a one-dribble drive option? Would diversify our offense and presumably make him all the more awesome an ORTG star. I wonder what Malcolm might be able to “unlock” for him?

Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)
