I really don't care anymore. Never gave this kid a chance. We all assumed the kid wasn't bringing it like we thought with Darko, Moz. But what is bringing it according to MD ? This is the question we should be asking.

It;s very obvious .... YOU MUST MOLD TO MD"s SYSTEM OR YOU DON"T PLAY. An individuals talents will be ignored and cast aside. His trade value will get decimated because of this. Knicks lose in every aspect of this strategy. It's really quite sad that Knick fans are again being grossly mismanaged by a coach who wields waaaay too much authority. Wake up Donny and fire this guy NOW !

yea.. there is no reason not to play this kid, but jeffries gets time? and the fact that we gave him away, just upsets me...

Add to the list derek brown soon.. this kid can play and he is also rotting on the bench.. dantoni can't sell me that that this kid should not be getting minutes..

dantoni has mismanaged this roster and our players.... I am souring on this guy.. quickly

The serious damage has been done. We are gonna have to get very lucky to gain the young promising depth we had just a few weeks ago. We just keep throwing away promising young talent on some bogus system that for the life of me I don't understand. Call me stupid but I really just don't understand MD's system of no defense, no size and chuck chuck chuck. It's never been more clear to me that his Phoenix days were luck and Nash and some other pretty good guys. Those guys would have won with my system (w/e that would be) with Nash at the helm and those other guys.

MD is a maniac, Walsh is loyal to a fault, Dolan is a madman who got caught up in the 3 superstar nonsense. No adult is in charge with a clear vision for this team. Everyone has their own agendas. How someone can pay big dollars to support this team for next year is beyond me. We are one injury from some very bad stuff happening. We have no depth at all anymore. The damage is done. OK we got Melo, but watching Amare these last couple of weeks just getting slower and slower is downright scary.

funny thing, about 6 years ago, on realGM I was dogging dantoni's system. I said it was a fluke system based on volume shots.... posters on this board told me I was crazy.. as the years went on, I started to appreciate his system and the success it had, I mean you had to give the suns props..

of late, I am becoming really frustrated with dantoni. and I have been one of his biggest supports.. but he has wasted a lot of talent on this team.. including guys like jordan hill.. he basically forces walsh to trade, young, talented players.. who have size and athleticism... I am sorry, but I am starting to think this guy is just the wrong guy for this franchise.... my support for him is going down the drain...

You can be mad at Dolan for the deal and rightfully so, but Mike gave him no reason at all to think about keeping AR. Even if we still had him, he wouldn't be playing right now. If AR was showcased and showed some glimmers of hope, it would be a different story...

RHODEY wrote:To those complaining that Dantoni did not play AR.... I recall he did, early on and it was during our early crap period. Now Minny they are a basement dweller team with no hopes of making the playoffs, they are in a prime position to play AR, - can the same be said of Dantoni? - back when our playoff seeding was very questionable?

I'm way more pissed at the people who moved him than D'antoni.

Do you really think that MD gave AR a real chance back then ? MD played him a few games and AR looked terrible. Maybe he looked terrible because MD was trying to make him fit square pegs into round holes ?

I believe a player must adapt to a system to some degree, but you just can't take a player who has a certain game and tell him he must play totally different and expect results. Just look at Sheldon against the Bucks. While he was on the court the Knicks sucked bad. He really has had no time to speak of playing with these guys but it certainly seems as though he was targeted by MD for the Knicks failure that game. He never played again. Very similar to the way AR was treated. Scapegoat the weak guy for your ego but the guys who are really doing some damage day in and day out say nothing to ...... lol

Walsh has to go.

I love him, he restored the franchise... BUT.

He is WAYYYYYYYYY too invested in Mike D'antoni and caters to his needs. If it were up to Donnie, we'd be a much better team. D'antoni calls the shots, Walsh just makes the deals. (so it seems...)

i think it says alot...we get it, you love d'antoni and you will always defend him. but the fact is the guy is a terrible coach

Really...

The fact is Dolan and Melo forced this team to gut itself, not D'antoni.

The fact is that the Knicks were under pressure to make the playoffs this year while minny was not.

The fact is that AR played like absolute trash when he did get opportunities and he did get them early on.

There you go, no goofy pictures needed....

I kept saying that AR could have helped us win games, especially the ones where we're getting outrebounded.

All of you called me (Please Use More Appropriate Word) for saying it, too!

People acted like Randolph was some scrub. We traded a top level prospect. 21 years old. 7 feet tall. Athletic. Long. Shot Blocker. Passer. Rebounder. Energy. The player we saw here was nothing like the one in Golden State or Minny. Dantoni just broke the kid down and never gave him a shot. Its really pathetic how if Chandler didnt get hurt and Shawne get suspended for fighting that Mozgov wouldnt have played either.

Back in the summer alot of us didnt want to give up Gallo and Randolph for Melo. Well it ended up being Gallo, Randolph, Chandler, Mozgov, Felton, and a 1st. Haha wow.

AR is playing well at PF, being allowed to do what he wants. Being Tyson Chandler is a totally different story. All together.

Yea everyone is backtracking now. Its hilarious. I was down on Randolph at one point but I wasnt attacking him left and right calling him a bum in every thread. There were people on a vendetta against the kid just because friggin Dantoni wasnt playing him, like hes some great judge of talent.

I made a thread in December wanting him to start at center for us.

Talent doesnt just vanish like that so fast.

Ill tell you what though hed look pretty damn good coming off the bench right now here. Of course Dantoni would have to be fired first lol. I remember Dantoni saying he didnt want to pigeonhole Randolph, but thats exactly what he did. Put him in a box and never let him out .

And the best part is we let Corey Brewer go too!!! AHHHHH!!!

Ouch, add AR's performance to the Knicks losing streak and that equals an ulcer for me.

I swear this board's pleas to coach Mike are all on target. He refused to play Moz and Randolph until Injury forced him too. Ive never hated coach as much as I do right now. Instead we have Jared Jeffries and Mr glass anchoring our front line.
