Re: Killian hopes to stay in Detroit
I wouldn’t want Killian or Wiseman on the roster next year if they signed for zero dollars each.
Wiseman is the slowest-processing basketball player I’ve ever seen, and while Killian may have the skills to be an acceptable situational 5th guard, Monty will overuse him if he’s available.
Counting Stewart, Sasser, and next year’s pick, we have seven young players worth playing. That’s PLENTY. More vets like BB, Burks, Muscala and Morris and we might actually have a decent team. We need to stop f’ing around at some point.

I honestly think Wiseman doesn't know any of the plays we run lmaotmorgan wrote:I wouldn’t want Killian or Wiseman on the roster next year if they signed for zero dollars each.

Yeah, turns out this is no longer true.
Apparently if you can't find playing time with a 6 win team because you're too awful the logical step is to request a trade to another team.
See yah Killian.

Fourth year Killian and Wiseman making a combined $20+ million not even good enough to be in the rotation on the worst team of all-time.

Re: Killian hopes to stay in Detroit
The fact that we spent 209 games at 26.1 MPG trying to develop Killian is absolute insanity. A year of shutting people down and tanking to get that #7 pick (which likely would have been a better pick if Covid didn't shut down our season early) and then four years of suffering thru the Killa Hayes era is for certain the new low point era of this franchise. Knock the teal years all you want we had a legit superstar, good role players, and some playoff appearances. Same goes for the Blake Era.

I actually just went to twitter and see Killian Hayes is trending in the sports section for asking for a trade. People are laughing it up because everyone knows no one wants him.

As a mod I wouldn't condone wasting space on the front page with a thread nobody will post in.

Re: Killian hopes to stay in Detroit
Lets also talk about what a loser mentality is is to be gifted 209 games of playing time averaging 26.1 MPG and then once you get two games out of the rotation you request a trade. That is some big time bull IMO the tiny bit of respect I had for Killian for at least being a Pro and coming to work and usually playing hard (even though his scoring is awful) goes down the drain when you sit out two games and ask to be moved.
If Weaver ends up trading Monte Morris so Killian can stay in the rotation to finish out this year I'm 100% done being a Pistons fan.

I wouldn't doubt more to the situation other than Killian demanding trade after sitting two games. Alot goes on behind closed doors than we can even imagine.

yeah i wouldn't be surprised if there was some sort of understanding between the team and his agent that he would have a spot in the rotation or something like that. would be no coincidence since he requested a trade after 2 DNP-CDs.

Re: Killian hopes to stay in Detroit
Try and trade him, but he's probably headed to the waiver wire.
A number 7 pick devalued to worthless in just a few years. That's the damage bad drafting does to an organization.

Re: Killian hopes to stay in Detroit
Only 9 players in NBA history have ever made the 50-40-90 club and Marcus Sasser is knocking on the door and we've been playing Killian Hayes over him one of the few members of the 35-27-66 club.

Dude averaged like 3.5 PPG with a 35% TS over a 20 game stretch and expected to stay in the rotation?

The fact we're still talking about Killian Hayes in the year 2024 sorta blows my mind.

I am hoping the Pistons keep him. I need the amusement around here, as the team sure as hell isn't keeping me entertained.
