This is what the opponent D wants. Wemby has to get more post ups not face ups, use more spins to get closer to the rim.

2ND Q: SPURS 57 KINGS 65

We were 4-6 from 3 in the 1ST Q and only 1-4 in the 2ND. Contrast that to the 10-24 from the arc already and that's pretty much the tale of the tape.

Wemby shot selection hasn't been the best. Settling for a lot of forced and contested fadeaway Js, trying face up fakes that aren't working in moving the defender or opening up driving lanes. He's made 4-11, 0-1 from 3, leads us with 7 boards, 2 on O.

Devin has been terrific with finding open spaces. He leads the game with 18 on 8-9, 2-2 from 3. Terrific shot selection, variety, and movement off ball to get open and finish at the rim, with middies, and at the arc.

We're getting caught on late contests at the arc. Sometimes we're getting crushed on screens, sometimes we're not recognizing the switch quickly enough. Has to get better.

Bench has only 13 points among three players so far. Contribution has to be better. Branham and Blake have combined for 0-3.

Good rebounding - 24 and 6 on O. Just have to convert more of these. We've missed a lot of bunnies in general.

18 assists. Good. Tre leads us with 6. All starters have registered at least one. All Spurs have at least one except for Blake and Branham. This tandem is all kinds of raw together.

Only 5TOs. Good.

But we've given up two 30+ point Qs so the D has to be communicating and helping more. And for the love of basketball fundamentals, make the bunnies.

Wemby gets post position, good , Julian passes to him quickly, good, and quickly cuts himself for a quick Wemby pass and a huge Julian dunk.

Much better positioning and speed with both.
