I asked this in the draft thread earlier.
I'd have him around 5.

Gradey might never be better than this version of Wagner lol.
This is a wild question.

Pretty much every player Masai drafts would go top-5 in a re-draft (or #1 in the case of Scottie). He needs to do more of that drafting thing and less of that trading picks away thing.

Gradey does not go top-5 in a redraft of last year, probably not top-10 either

yeah he isn't going top 10
13-18 is still his range in a redraft
in no order:
Wemby
Miller
Scoot
JJ
Lively
Wallace
Podz
Amen
Ausar
Whitmore
Bilal
all go ahead of dick

Wemby, Wallace, JJ, Lively, and maybe Amen are the only guys from that last who have looked good this season, and I'm not sure how high the ceiling is for guys like JJ (already 23) and Lively (very limited offensive skillset).

You don't think Miller's looked good in comparison to Gradey?

I like that he's staying aggressive and pushing the limits of what he can do in the league. Taking the extra dribble, trying to finish in traffic - yeah, it's going to be ugly sometimes, but hopefully it means he's been working hard in practice and trying it game speed. Strength and conditioning will be huge. He could be like GTJ but with better driving (as a reasonable outcome, not ceiling or floor)
He’s going to be miles better than GTJ. Far better shooter with a great IQ for the game.
I certainly hope so but everyone has potential until they don't. GTJ was a 20-year-old prospect once upon a time too. Incredibly disappointing this year but still a proven rotation player in this league

Would 100% take Gradey over a handful of those guys. Both in terms of fit and upside. Just because he wasn’t league ready coming into the NBA, doesn’t mean he’s going to struggle with fit going forward. He has almost every attribute you would want playing next to Scottie Barnes which is huge for his development and his future.
nikster wrote:I think there's a chance Gradey cracks the top 5 in the draft.
JJJ and Podz are both older and I'm not sure actually that much better at this point in the season. Whitmore is a good scorer but has tunnel vision as bad as anybody we've seen, has to he an elite scorer to have a positive contribution. The Thompson twins have been pretty horrible shooters so far which could hold them back,
Don't think it's unreasonable Gradey passes some of the other guys on the list, like Wallace, Scoot
