Re: What would make YOU happy?
The comeback in the Pelicans game after getting behind early was peak happiness so far this season. Would mean a lot to see a playoff game in Orlando in the 2nd round that meant something.

Im already happy. But a series win would be great for the city of Orlando and the long-suffering fans.

Re: What would make YOU happy?
I’ll agree with Alexandra Daddario, she’d make me happy too haha. As for the Magic, I’d be super happy with the 4th seed and a solid 6 games in a second round appearance. I think this team is capable. On the low end, a 7 games first round loss.
You look confused...let me fill you in.

Re: What would make YOU happy?
I just wanted a top overall pick one year after getting to pick after all the future All-Stars were gone year after year. #1 pick, then rookie of the year, then all star... yeah I'm ecstatic! Never dreamed that would happen and much less we'd be playoff bound this soon.

Re: What would make YOU happy?
Going into the season, I thought that the Magic were a fringe playoff team that would be shooting for the play-in round. Right now, they look like they have a legitimate chance at being top-4 in the East. It's not that I didn't like this team, I just thought they'd struggle with outside shooting and closing out games (like last year). While they still do have a bit of a deficiency on outside shooting, they've been terrific on defense and have been much better closing games. So, they've already wildly exceeded my expectations on what I thought would be a "successful season."
Right now, I'd be thrilled to see the Magic go to the first round in the top-4 of the East. With that home court advantage, it would be possible for them to move to the second round. They play exceptionally well on their home court. If they put up a decent fight in the second round, I think everyone would agree that's well beyond what people expected from the Magic. Anything beyond that is gravy.

JI remaining healthy (along with the rest of the key guys) and Franz becoming a respectable 3pt shooter again. If those two things happen, the rest will take care of itself.

Content - Finished the season strong and make the playoffs.
Happy/Satisfied - Be competitive in the first round. Don't need to necessarily win the first round, so long as they won 2+ games.
Excstatic - Making the second round.
Anything beyond that is gravy and extremely happy with the season.

Re: What would make YOU happy?
Honestly for me if we just hold serve here and end up anywhere between 4-6 is a damn grand slam. The Vegas over under had us as the 9-10 range and we’re in striking distance of 3. If I was to tell anyone before the season with 10 games to play you would be 1 GB of the 3 seed everyone not trolling would have taken that. Making that actual playoffs and winning some games is perfect. Anything else would be gravy.
If you give me truth serum I think I would say I hope they lose in the first round though winning like two games. I think we have had some bounces go our way this year. The offense needs internal improvement and external tweaks. Can’t let content for the players or front office sneak in.
This year has been the most fun season since the 08-09 season for me excited to see how they finish. I am trying to enjoy that while also understanding expectations that our offense is not at the quality of where we are in the standings.

Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

I'm already happy with the season but I'd be really happy if they got home court advantage and won a series

Re: What would make YOU happy?
Content with losing in 6 in 1st round
Happy with losing in 7
Ecstatic to make the second round.
Must do better than the gentleman's sweeps of 2019 and 2020 where we stole game 1 and then lost 4 straight two years in a row in the playoffs.

Sorry, I lost my train of thought, what was this thread about again?
... Oh right...
Well here's my breakdown
Fall to the playin and don't make playoffs = devastated
Fall to the playin and make the playoffs, get swept by BOS/MIL = disappointed
Fall to the playin and make the playoffs, lose in competitive series = mildly happy
Make the 6 seed or above and get swept = not happy, but good regular season
Make the 6 seed or above and lose in 5 = pretty happy
Make the 6 seed or above and lose in 6 = happy
Make the 6 seed or above and lose in 7 = very happy (after being bummed out)
Win a 1st round playoff series in any way, shape or form = pure bliss
