So we have gone from urgency to get the 6 seed, to urgency to get the 7/8, and now we need urgency to stay in the 10th.
And by urgency I mean from a fanbase... the team itself has not shown any sense of urgency this season lol
Fun times.

If they drop these next 2 games, I don't think they'll recover from it, they'll be a lottery team (and one without a lottery pick). This is why I don't like shoveling future picks into trades as sweeteners, you never know how valuable they'll be. What looked like it might be a mid-20s pick now could be 14 or even higher where very good players are available.

Yeah from memory the Heat handled our little play-in juggernaut pretty easily last time.
Would prefer Kerr just rest Steph (a few games) so he has the legs for the more important upcoming games in the future that the Warriors will desperately need to win. It's all about the t - t - timing.

Yea I wish I knew if we were actually trying to win these games because it doesn't feel like winning games right now is the no 1 priority

we will play zero defense and down by 20 at half.

The good thing is hopefully ticket prices will go down a bit and we can watch good teams like the Heat live next year

Seriously if we're down 20 to this heat team who has no shooters on it, don't even come back to the bay. Just start the summer early and send people home. Start with Klay.

They've already gone down. Or do you want the family bundle of 4 tickets for 4 different games for under $100 to come back? HAHA

Both teams have good reasons to go all out to win this game, but for whatever reasons the Warriors just haven't seemed very motivated, despite their precarious position. Until there's a desperate sense of urgency they will continue to be beaten by just about any team, and especially ones who are playing for playoff positioning.

It's worth it though if it turns into actual contention. The 2024 pick we gave up so we could send Andre to MEM, and do the KD/DLO sign and trade that eventually netted us Wiggins and Kuminga. Oh, and we won the 2022 chip

Supposedly is a weak class, but that usually describes the top of the draft, not its depth. I'm bummed because a guy I really liked early in the year has completely flamed out with the Ignite, and is more likely to try again in 2025 than be a late 1st / 2nd rounder this year (Izan Almansa)
But the Warriors, for the future, need all the depth and picks they can get. Its time to find an actual #1 and actual #2 because they are not currently on the roster. We're back to being that team just hoping to land that star somehow... hopefully Lacob wasnt serious about never rebuilding or we're gonna be **** for a long time

Its almost like hedging FRP is a bad idea that should never be done
Like if they are dealing long-term future FRP, they shouldnt be on this 2 timeline nonsense. But Lacob wanted to flex his success because he thought he was immune to the same valleys every other team goes through. Reality is coming for him like a freight train

Bingo, this is the draft we should want the team to lose their pick in as well. After this pick conveys they have all of their picks moving forward.

It's a weak class all the way down. An historically bad draft class.
I was right about 3 point shooting. I expect to be right about Tacko Fall. Some coach will figure out how to use Tacko Fall. This movement towards undersized centers will sweep ng back. Back to the basket scorers will return to the NBA.
Return to Golden State Warriors
