Using advanced lineups with Giannis in them is exactly him holding everyone's head above water... Not sure what that proves when Beasley is visibly getting beat on the perimeter each night and now his shooting has drastically dipped. If the guy you brought in to make 3's is shooting damn near 30% heading into the playoffs, there's a problem. BuT hE'S gOoD aT CoRner Threeess.

Also, if Bev is out tonight with the ankle then please, for the love of god, can we get some AJJ minutes here?

Would love to see AJJ and Marjon get a look against this team to at least try to match the energy and athleticism they’ll bring.

Little concerned about Dame’s injury. Probably the worst time to get a pesky groin pull

It's hard to get excited for these games and the upcoming playoff run. The only comforting thought I keep coming back to is that we weren't expected to win it all in 2021. The expectations in other years were much greater. So, perhaps, the Bucks can somehow pull of a repeat of that and surprise us all?

Uh, you might wanna actually check the numbers. The team's most used 3-man lineup is Dame/Brook/Beas with a +10.2 net-rating. You have to scroll all the way down to the 8th and 9th most used 2-man lineups with Beas to find a negative combo (Beverly, then AJJ). Only meaningful 5-man lineup without Giannis (93 minutes) includes Beas and is a +22.2 net-rating, but "sample size" and all.

For all the crap they get for their perimeter defense, our top 2 players in net rating on the court are Dame (+7.5) and Beas (+7.4). They're also the worst off court ratings with Dame at -5.0 and Beas at -3.7. Giannis is at +6.6 and -3.1 respectively. Think the bigger problem is absolutely no one on our Bench has been a positive except for Bobby and AJ. This could bode well for us in the playoffs with a tighter rotation except, despite what he has repeatedly said publicly, Doc refuses to give AJ consistent minutes over Pat.

Or just watch the games instead of trying to defend everything with minuscule data and zero context behind how those data points were created in the first place, completely ignoring context… Truly box score watching in 2024.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Beas has 4 or more switches he messes up on the perimeter before half allowing to open looks from 3.

Hardly. Are you incapable of using your eyes and blending that with analytics or do you have to be all or nothing? Using Beas numbers on the year is such fools gold anyways. He's in a new system since Doc took over where Brook and Giannis are helping him more. He was an actual swinging door when we were defending 5 out and Griff had him out on an island. Sorry 93 minutes of data doesn't move me. He's still having trouble on defense. He has stretches of play where he actually looks competent defending, so maybe it's more effort, but there's still lapses and if the shots not falling, idk what to tell ya.

There is little concern about anything anymore, >95% of Bucks fans have given up on this season.

Bev, Khris and Dame out
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

My expectation is just house money at this point. I haven’t given up but I have zero expectations. Will they surprise and make a legit run like I thought they would all season or will they let all their bad habits and laziness shine through and get bounced to a hungrier team? Atleast this way, it’s more exciting and I don’t have any more emotion invested.
RIP Kobe Forever. GOAT 8-24. Long Live Giannis

I haven't given up on the season. Nobody has expectations for us. I could see us winning it all just as easily as I could see us blowing it first round. I don't really give a damn about the regular season anymore. Seeding isn't that important to me and Giannis isn't sniffing the MVP (which is another story, although the top guys are balling out. Just don't see how Jokic is leading IMO.)

I'm pumped for the playoffs. That's all I care about now. Stay healthy and get ready.

Perfect game to unleash AJJ. Instead Doc will play a washed up 35 year old PF out of position.

The last 15 games Beas has been a bucket of ass. He fills up the bottom of this list.
