Re: Kevin Durant - Next Steps
Morey is for sure gonna try to trade for him because although he’s a very good GM who wants to improve the team and get a star, he’ll fail to realize KD in Philly is the ultimate disaster personality wise.
Riley will inquire but not overpay so he won’t go to Miami.
Don’t know if they should do it, but Knicks could be a good fit next to OG. But Randall was playing well enough that it’s risky to go the trade route rather than seeing if the current team plus him can get it done.

Jarret Jack: “I brought one of my best suits. But looking down at this jersey, it’s just a sense of pride I don’t think I’ve ever felt as a professional. … Nothing in my closet is better than what I have on now."

Kawhi is a downgrade from KD and he's injury prone. They are still stuck with a Beal/Booker backcourt.
That backcourt is so stupid. The Suns had their best season pairing Booker with a pure PG, and then build a superteam by pairing Booker with a pure SG and have no real PG.
I think it was last year's playoff vs Nuggets with Booker and Durant averaging 7.8 and 5 assists each that gave the Suns the illusion that adding another guard with playmaking like Beal would offer enough playmaking and let you cheat away without a true PG.
That's pretty stupid logic if that's what it was.

OKC and then he’ll end his career in Seattle.

Re: Kevin Durant - Next Steps
The best move I see is trading with Suns/Mavs.
Suns move KD and Okogie. Mavs trade Irving and Kleeber to the Suns.
Suns get a PG to play beside Booker (might have to move him or Beal to the SF spot to play all 3).
Irving/Booker/Beal/Kleeber/Nurkic
Suns certainly will need to go get some size, but they need that regardless.
Mavs get a player that allows the ball to go through Doncic while having the perfect compliment to him.
Doncic/Okogie/Durant/Washington/Gafford

Do the Spurs make a run at KD if they get the #1 pick?

Spurs might be interesting. Minnesota or Denver for obvious reasons might be his next team. I could see Boston maybe if Brown asks out. Not that I'd be pining for him but if Brown wants out it would make sense.

He needs to go back home to DC and win one for them like Lebron did for his home team to even be considered better than Lebron, before announcing he can be a goat, too. Not much on doing the right thing if he can't handle that.chrisab123 wrote:Spurs might be interesting. Minnesota or Denver for obvious reasons might be his next team. Yeah it's a ridiculous notion if you look at the contracts. They would have to send everybody except SGA pretty much just to match Durant's salary. No way in hell is that happening. Easy yes if I'm Phoenix, but it's hell no if I'm OKC.
Nope, they have 22mill in cap space this offseason. They could trade Dort plus something or do a sign-and-trade with Hayward. There are a lot of possibilities.

That is a really bad trade.
Mavs need a second ballhandler badly, Kyrie loves it here and he is 3 years younger than KD. It does not even fix Suns problem because Kyrie does not really play PG.
No thanks

The Spurs thing intrigues me. If Wemby can actually practice against KD while winning games that would be an optimal situation for his development ... still need a PG.
