I was having a dig at the last second of the clip.
McCaine rushing in to cuddle VJ.
Then you take it personally and go full (Please Use More Appropriate Word). Never go full (Please Use More Appropriate Word).
BTW, what generation do you think I am?
I’m really sorry for misreading your comment. I thought you were calling me out for sugarcoating VJ’s misses. It’s been a rough day on my end, but I appreciate you pointing it out.
It's ok. We all have days. This place is an escape. Sometimes I come here to communicate and talk crap & try and crack jokes, because where I am I don't have anyone around. No family and no close friends. My dogs haven't yet learnt English.
I have played. Not to collegiate level. Medically Retired from basketball aged 16. That **** sux.
Won 4 championships out of 6 years in competitive leagues. Won league MVP in 92' and the chip.
Won 6 out of 6 southern state finals.
Ranked top 15 player in my state for 6 years running.
Torn meniscus after the 92' season and switched to 1st grade Australian rules football, cricket and golf 3 years later whilst serving my country (20 years) in the Air Force, where I went on to represented the Air Force in both cricket (leg spinner) and golf low single figure handicap.
I live vicariously through the NBA. My only sport release now is golf and tournament poker.
I'm an old ****. Late Gen X.
Today’s been hectic on my end. My wife flew out of the country with our son, who’s not even a year old. The whole day’s been nonstop.. from a breakfast get-together with a friend and his family (where my son was crying the entire time and my wife was subtlety begging me to go home), to me feeling bad because my friend drove such a long way just for that breakfast. After that, we headed home, but my son refused to nap, and we had lunch with my parents shortly after. He finally fell asleep on the way, and I ended up driving both my wife and son to the airport. Now that I’m back home, it’s finally quiet, and I can catch up on all these Summer League games.
I’m a lot younger than you, sir, and I really admire your colorful and successful career. That kind of sports journey is something I can only dream of. The closest I’ve come is being a scout of a local college team and playing pickup ball with friends two to three times a week. But I watch a lot of games NBA and non-NBA. Honestly, I don’t have anyone around me to talk basketball at this level, except for my brother, who also posts here. But even he’s pretty casual about it, and sometimes I feel like I’m just dominating our NBA conversations over meals.
I’m just a millennial..once young, but these days I feel old, especially when I’m with my wife and son.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.
