Preseason, Multi-Game Thread, 2025-26 – Record: 3-1

3 more days til the 1st preseason game. Looking forward to it. It seems like a long offseason.

We lost a lot of key players. Jrue, KP, Al, Luke and Tatum not playing for a while makes it really tough. But it also makes it exciting. This team is an unknown outside of Brown, White, Pritchard, Hauser and Simons. Who is going to take over for the players we lost?

This is a huge opportunity for Queta, Baylor, Garza, Minott, Walsh and a few others. Boucher is pretty good and Tillman was a start at times in Memphis.
Then we have a few players like Hugo, RJ Ruiz and Amari waiting in the wings (maybe a few years away).

Yeah, because 2023 there was the FIBA World Championship and 2024 it was the Olympics.

Both those events were in August.

So September was the only month where NBA players were not playing in those previous years.

This year we had to endure no NBA action in August and September.

I caught a bit of Eurobasket. It was a pretty cool tournament. I think Queta was the only current Celtic there this year? But there were ex-Celtics and a lot of the top current NBA players going at it, fun sub-plots, Luka, Jokic, Giannis, etc.

Maybe not the same, but a good side to for NBA. And if you have hoops fan friends in Europe it's a nice way to connect.

I actually think Queta/Tillman is a good pairing. Going to be interesting to see who Mazzulla settles on for Game 1 pairings. In preseason, Mazzulla is probably going to try everything.
