Its always possible, but I am going to stay positive. I thought we did almost everything right last season and it still ended with 3/4 of our best 4 players hobbled. Its our best chance yet to make it out of the East and I am going to act like it until I don't think its true lol
Hahaha, i like the positivity! We'll have to see how the season plays out.

I've talked outside of this forum with friends that its really odd being a big fan of a team with championship aspirations (especially one that has missed the mark a few times) bc it has me want to race to the postseason. Trying to focus on enjoying the regular season while I can

Man, that is me for sure. Especially since I've only watched 10 or so regular season games per season the past 3 years.

I take tremendous joy in regular season success because my fandom is too strong to dedicate hours to enjoying something every other night and then let it all be ruined by a bad week or two. I grew up a Cleveland sports fan, where every season but one ended without a title, which seems like a huge waste of time if you can't enjoy the regular season.

I have Youtube TV but am not in Ohio, so I have to get League Pass on top. And Amazon Prime. And Peacock.

I am why the league is generating more revenue

Same here. I have ESPN, Peacock, Amazon, and League Pass (and luckily am not in Ohio so no blackouts except against Celtics and National TV)

Adam Silver should write me a personal thank you note

I'm not doing Peacock unless they throw another free promo at me.

Half the country has Amazon Prime, though, so not as weird of a decision by the NBA compared to letting NBC paywall games behind Peacock.

My wifi service provider offers Peacock with their service so... :dontknow:

Wouldn't have it otherwise. My gf loves that she gets to watch some live TV on it tho

I was able to get the 2 games last night for free on my digital antenna on NBC, so that was cool.

“That wasn’t the Jarrett Allen we all know,” Atkinson said after Thursday’s practice at Baruch College in Manhattan. “That was more on us not seeking him out. But conversely, he can’t get four rebounds. I was really bummed about that. Can’t be like that.”

I believe his time is about up in Cleveland.

Nah, too early in the season to make a judgement about that, but otoh, the Cavs do have all these guys wired in practices and should know everything they need to know about Jarrett's conditioning and other stuff like nagging injuries.

The Pacers cut Wiseman which means my dreams of getting Bradley for free probably died. I'd pay a 2nd to swap him for Bryant at the deadline though.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

Looking at the on/off data here to get a picture of who's hurting our rebounding: https://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/CLE/2026/on-off/

Tyson profiles as a good rebounder but lineups with him in them are getting out-rebounded by 7.4% than when he's in.

Proctor's lineups have been super-bad at rebounding where his team TRB% is -34.7%.

Some of that is massive underperformance in garbage time (Travers and Bryant are -60%-ish) but I'm wondering how guys playing the 2 are leading to such bad rebounding numbers. Might just be a fluke in the data, but it might be more about the defense breaking down, our core big contesting the shot, and Wade/Nance not being enough to secure the rebound.

Name a more dynamic duo than Koby and 6'5" wings hahaha

But Cavs finally fill their 3rd two-way slot.

From November 13th until Thanksgiving, Cavs are at home. A real shot to turn this thing around and string together some wins, if they can get healthy.

Return to Cleveland Cavaliers
