If this isn’t coaching malpractice, I don’t know what is. This kind of seems like taking advantage of a player knowing he’s on the last legs of his career.
You have JJ who’s healthy, but not 100% and because of that you won’t play him. And you’re going to use Wentz and no doubt his desperation to use any chance he has to prove he still has something. To eat up time as you’re trying your best to get your young QB healthy/prepared.
If JJ really was so hurt he couldn’t play. Then just play Brosmer. You don’t toss a guy out there with a torn labrum and fractured shoulder socket to eat up time. I don’t know how any doctors didn’t step in and say no to this.
Wentz went from being a fun punching bag as a fan. To now feeling really bad for him.
this is terrible, reminds me of the 2017 outback bowl where the hawkeyes kept cj beathard out there for almost the entire game even though he was clearly injured and playing terribly because of it
and didn't i read somewhere that the injury wasn't going to get any worse from playing, just a pain management thing? so they could have put him on IR like two weeks ago??
its this kind of stuff that makes the football gods angry with us. probably won't get a super bowl title in my lifetime because of this. karma is important dang it!
