I'll admit that I think Quinn is falling far past where he should be, but I still think taking Revis was a much better decision than drafting a QB that we really don't need at all.

Exciting draft so far. Now I'm just hoping we can get some extra picks for McCareins/Barrett/whoever. We need a fourth or two or we're just not going to have enough picks for my liking.

We're developing a QB. His name is Clemens.

Plus if you look at the draft pick value chart we win.

Who says that Revis is only filling a need and doesn't have potential?!? QB is just the much more popular position and that's why everyone was talking about the golden boy Brady Quinn. Revis went under the radar and if he would have played for Notre Dame or some bigger school you would talk differently...

Revis has the potential to really develop into a great corner under Mangini. He brings all the physical attributes you look for and Mangini has shown before that he can make average talented corners look good. And Revis is much more than average talented...

Now after the Revis pick we still have two major needs:

- Defense front seven

- Offensive Guard

Hopefully we find a player that fits our needs and has potential in round two and three. I hope for LaMaar Woodley...

Patriots made a great trade by getting the Niners 2008 first rounder. Lucky bastards...

Welcome the the NY Jets David Harris...

Jets pull another deal to move up in the 2nd round (no. 47 overall) to draft David Harris a 6'3" 245lb inside linebacker from Michigan.

Here's some blurbs about him...

"The only thing I've heard about David Harris is that he's a physical guy, a guy who can mix it up with the big boys," Chris Mortensen of ESPN said. "He's one guy whose stock has risen."

Taking his game to another level last season, Harris was the hard-working leader of one of the nation

JETS MOVE UP AGAIN!!! This time to No. 47 to pick...

DAVID HARRIS (6-2, 245 ILB Michigan)

Excellent pick, arguably the best 3-4 ILB in the draft. He is stout against the run and could help Vilma tremendously. We are basically done though as it seems. We send our remaining second rounder and our third plus a 6th rounder to Green Bay for their second rounder and a 7th rounder I think... hope I got everything right, good night!

Jets have 2 more draft picks...a 6th rounder (no. 177) and a 7th rounder (no. 235).

There was a rumor that the Jets were trying to deal Pete Kendall.

What do you guys think? Take a chance on Walter Thomas in the 6th round?

He's a 6'4" 375lb defensive tackle that can do a standing forward flip and how can bench 475lbs and squat 800lbs and ran the 40 in 5.1 seconds I believe in the combine including (Just think about this tidbit for a moment: he ran 1.70 in the first 10 yards of his 40. In comparison, one of USC wide receiver Dwayne Jarrett's 10-yard splits was 1.65 and Thomas weighs over 150 pounds more than Jarrett.).

On the edge of the Texas Gulf is a 370-pound football player who can execute a perfect forward flip. When he lands, the ground trembles.

I'm a little curious about drafting Big Baby from LSU. Granted I don't follow the draft, but he's supposed to have NFL skills.

You guys think a 7th rounder could be used as a throw away like that, or would you try to fill a hole in the team on a guy you know will show up rather than a guy who's trying to make it at another sport?
Go Knicks!! Go Mets!!

As for the Jets . . . just keep it entertaining.

sorry I missed the fun today guys, weather in GA was beautiful and I was out hunting for a new house.... I don't know who this revis kid is, but we moved up to get him, mangini and crew must know something about him we don't obviously, we definately need a good corner, especially with our pass rush, or lack thereof....

Im glad to see that we got Revis, he was the top corner in this draft in my eyes. He will be great next to Dyson and Miller in the secondary.

David Harris is nice and I think he will help out or LB's a bunch. Should be interesting to see if Barton is moved now with that pick.

I liked day one a lot, even though we traded some picks im feel that the players we got really fit the system.

It would be nice if we could trade Barrett, McCareins or Barton for another pick. Harris will help us tremendously.

I would be all for taking that Thomas kid, we have nothing to lose with those late picks...
