Hoffman called, he's pissed at this "Best ever" talk
I'd take Papelbon....Rivera isnt' even the best closer in his own city...we all know who the REAL sandman is

"The guy is an idiot," Pedroia said regarding Cabrera. "I dropped my bat. It kind of freaked me out. I was upset they took him out of the game. He is good to hit. He's 9-15. The guy [stinks]."

Right now? No question, Papelbon.

btw, hoffman's the best closer ever, homers.
How about Rivera in the rest of his postseason career? Huh? Torre had the infield in and Gonzo blooped a single over Jeter. I would take a guy who lets up bloop singles any day over a lefty who has an 8 ERA in the postseason

No.

real nice sample size for wagner. been in 6 postseason series. if he has 1 bad inning, his ERA balloons. you do know how ERA works, and that it's not that great of a stat for relievers, right? oh, you're yankees fans. so i guess not
rivera's on the way out, homers. you can only get by with 1 pitch for so long.
