Lions predictions for 2012
Go lions ,time to talk football .Lions need a true fullback to get that yard or two for a first down.
Defence Wins Championships,we need to return to the Bad Boy era.

Re: Lions predictions for 2012
The paper thin secondary and lack of a dominant edge rusher (if avril holds out or struggles/gets injured because of no training camp) worries me. we may be playing from behind a lot. unless a RB steps up staffords going to have to throw the ball 50 times a game, if the line cant keep him healthy it could be a dissapointing season. I think with our defensive deficiencies 9-7 is about the best we're going to do but if we get to the playoffs all bets are off.

Last season showed that the last team in the playoffs can win the superbowl ,so it does not matter what record you have.
All you need to do is get into the playoffs.

Re: Lions predictions for 2012
I voted for 10-6 just because I think that is minimal acceptable standards also with considering the offseason distractions. But we have had too many advantages and too many opportunities to get good players and there are no more excuses. Our creditworthiness to live off more excuses died years ago and we should we going into the playoffs as the clear cut favorite despite the fact that yeah it is possible to win no matter what seed you are. Our aim should be for something much bigger than that though; we've been patient enough and we deserve to take the posture that we are the best team and that nobody can do anything about it. To me that's what this game at a high level should be about. Getting lucky at the last minute and only making the playoffs or winning the Super Bowl because of some freak opportune bounces isn't a fun way to win. I want to win by dominating everybody else that is trying so hard to be the best; and to destroy them. That's the only way to win in my mind as long as that prize is out there waiting to be claimed.

Re: Lions predictions for 2012
Until the fords break out the checkbook that aint happenin. Its always bothered me that the washingtons and phillys and several other teams in the league seem to be able to hold onto all there players and add several impact free agents every year and the caps never an issue. with the lions it seems like the cap is always an issue. I know we drafted high for many years and that hurts the cap figure but still theres no way the eagles arent over the cap.
