Harden speaks on the trade, and actually says that the Thunder only offered him 52 mil.

being an eighth seed is possibly the worst thing you can do as a franchise. Lose in the first round and a terrible draft pick.

It's only a good thing if your team is young, fully constructed, and has no experience. Basically Chicago or OKC three years ago. This rockets team is far from being fully constructed

I'll say it now before the season starts. Harden is SUPER over rated by everyone and it will show now that he isn't on OKC.

He's not super overrated but he's not a max player either, he's in between. I predict he has a 22/5/5 on 44 fg%, 33 3pt%, 55 ts% season.

James Harden will be a worse version of what Joe Johnson was in Atlanta.

But we'll have to just wait and see, right now all of us can only speculate.

The Rockets have a plethora of young talent with All-star potential. If they make the playoffs, it would most likely mean a young guy stepped up and proved that he could be a difference maker in the league. The average age for the team is 24 I believe, so to make the playoffs this year with a team that will undoubtedly only get better, along with max cap room next summer, would be a great thing for the franchise IMO. It's a win-win.

Harden will be a solid player, but I laugh at the talk like he is some kind of superstar. Westbrook and Durant had a much bigger impact on who Harden was facing, who he guarded and what kind of shots he got. Now ? Lin and Asik ? He may not meet the expectations some have on him but who cares, he will be making bank.

More interesting is who will perform better as the 1st option, Harden or Gordon?

So $16 million a year is too much for a 22/5/5 SG with very good efficiency? How much should such a player cost?

So, was Utah getting the 8th seed last year bad for them?
But do you know what they call a fool, who's full of himself and jumps into the path of death because it's cool?

It's not as if he's losing his three point shot or changing his shot selection to include more midrange Js.

46/37/86 still sounds reasonable even if he gets fewer open looks.

id agree with this. i dont understand the super insane hype the guy gets. he is just an ok player. i realize SG is a thin position around the league, but there is nothing special about harden
