The Warriors will explore moving their lottery pick in a deal for a veteran small forward, says Marcus Thompson of the Bay Area News Group. According to Thompson, Golden State has "long had interest" in Andre Iguodala, and could also target players like Rudy Gay, Nicolas Batum, Danny Granger, and Josh Smith.

This draft pick would go on to select Harrison Barnes, while Andre Drummond was on the board.

That's my whole point. We were never IN the Dwight sweepstakes. And we missed out on other potential opportunities chasing Fool's Gold.

Basically, had we traded Josh last year for a draft pick and tanked then...we would be in better position long term AND would have been just as appealing to Dwight.

i wouldn't call Festus Ezuli that much of a loss. even if Perry or Ezuli are decent, it just keeps the Hawks as a treadmill team with no star and far far away from being a contender

Trading Jsh last year is a tank move, garnering us a top 10 pick in the 2013 draft, and leaving us with plenty of cap space.

Basically, we'd be exactly where we are right now but with more young talent to develop or trade.

And it's worth noting that HOU's front office turned draft picks & young prospects into a young superstar (Harden) that helped them to sign Howard.

I am not saying I wanted all those guys, but still, if he wanted them why cant he get someone to sign? plus we got nothing for Josh and nothing for Jeff...Aint this why Lebron left? Lebron wanted Ferry to get him some help and time after time Ferry couldnt get it done, then Lebron dipped out. If Im just being negative, please talk some sense into me. but the guy seems to be failing miserably right now. Ok im done venting.

I'm losing faith as well...

Every summer I become less enamored with Ferry.

This move was solid and we are all going to end up being happy that it was made. Don't believe me, just watch!

Respectfully, please don't do that. In real life or on the Internet.

Jamaal, do you mind keeping your Ferry hate in a single thread, rather than bumping old topics? I really don't think it serves any purpose other than constantly igniting flames. Keeping it all in a single topic will at least keep all the divisiveness in a single place so we can discuss other stuff meaningfully.

I actually have pretty high confidence in Ferry now. I wasn't too hype that Bebe is gone before we ever got to see him play in the NBA, but whatever. He might have been a scrub and its not like he was a wasted lottery pick. I think some people were just really happy that we drafted a legit center. However, that does not mean he is a good legit center. I trust Ferry knew what he was doing when he let him walk.

Seriously dude. Your name needs to be changed to grave digger. I swear every old forum topic that finds its way back to the front page is a result of you digging it up..
