OMG!! Are the Rockets now screwed?

What the heck was Morey thinking putting all of his eggs into Chris Bosh's basket and getting rid of Lin before securing the Bosh deal?

They struck out on all major FAs.

Asik is gone, Lin is gone along with valuable future picks. They may lose Troy Daniels as well.

Matching Parsons will be more difficult now because they were hoping to be over the cap if/when they re-sign him but now that they're under it, his pending salary would all go towards the cap. This is another huge blow to them as well, unless they can get back over before re-signing Parsons.

Well, at least they still have coach McHale. :noway:

Yeah FML. No Chris Bosh isn't the end of the world, but losing Lin for NOTHING. Christ.

Looks like they have to overpay Parsons as well at 15M. As of now they have the same team as last season minus Asik and Lin. This has to be the biggest FAIL of the summer thus far.

Not screwed at all. They're going into the 2nd year with Harden and Howard, so they should gel more. Terrence Jones is a solid stretch 4, and he's young and improving. Plus now they match Parsons

It sucks that they had to give up Lin and a first rounder, but it's by no means a significant loss.

If they manage to land Melo they're better off than signing Bosh, but the chances are not high (assuming Melo prefers the money over a chance to win).

The Asik deal wasn't bad since they got possibly a nice 1st out of NOP, but giving up a 1st to shed Lin looks bad now.

Can't they just offer the max for Bledsoe and then match Parsons offer sheet? After that i would throw the Mle at Ed Davis and pray he turns into something decent

they didnt lose lin for nothing. they lost lin and a 1st rounder for nothin

I think if they move quickly they can still sign someone but they'd pretty much have to give someone a ridiculous offer they couldn't turn down. Pretty terrible sequence of events for them though - not sure if anyone saw the Heat maxing Bosh coming.

Why are you guys acting like Bosh was the end all be all player? He was 14/5/1 last year...

You can get that kind of productivity from Marvin Williams at a quarter of the price.

Lolbron won those chips in Miami. Not that goofy dinosaur. If anyone is screwed, it's Miami.
