I know the Suns would since they have the Lakers pick next season. Melo, LBJ and Kobe would be a train wreck.
LBJ at C Melo at PF Kobe at SF and 2 Laker girls in the backcourt. 25 wins in the west. Bring back Antoni since none of them play any defense.

I heard Kendall Marshall once tore his ACL, but only left the game briefly to manually tear his other ACL so his balance wouldn't be disrupted. He reentered the game with 30 seconds left and still got 8 more assists. GOAT.

lmao @ anyone who thinks they'll trade Julius Randle to get out of a 9 million dollar 1 year contract. They can just wave Nash and add 5.9 million in capspace by doing so.

They won't trade away JR just to get rid of a bad contract. That's silly.

Trade discussions would be contigent on Free Agents agreeing to sign.

I think the realistic deal would be Nash/Randle for cap space(or TPE) and 2015 pick(top 10 protected). Also I think the deal would only be done if they tried to sign 2 stars for near max contracts.

not sure you can use "rising star" and "Marshall" in the same sentence.

how exactly do they create that space by waiving Nash? they still owe his salary and it goes against the cap

They would also have to use the "stretch provision" where they spread his salary over 3 seasons.

How about being able to keep Gasol too. What is Gasol going to be free?

Kobe 23.5
Randle - 2.5
Sacre - .9
= 26.9M

Lets say the salary cap rises to 63M, it leaves 36.1 for Lebron, Anthony, and Gasol!? Yeah, that's going to happen lol.

I think what he meant was a buy-out. Teams can negotiate a buy-out with the players agent and then the contract comes off the books. If they actually got a commitment from Lebron, they'd pay Nash whatever he wanted just to free up that space.

The most hilarious thing about that Marshall and Lin quote is that the two play completely differently.

anything they pay Nash counts against the salary cap. waiving Nash, his full salary counts. Buy-out, that counts.

Only way we trade randle/nash back to phenox is for goron dragic. Dragic is the only guy I see worth trading Randle for....that or Kevin Love as long as both give verbal commitmentd to resign as well...

Dragic / Lin
Kobe / Young
Davis / Hill / Sacre
Boozer / Kelly
Xavier / ?

Are you insane? Randle for Dragic? I'll take my chances with Lin at PG and hold onto Randle. Man, and I was going to defend you for that Marshall post

Dragic is one of the most underrated point guards in the entire league, not to mention one of the most efficient players overall.

I wouldn't do it but getting a top 6 point guard in his peak years for an inexperienced unproven rookie isn't the end of the world.
