I don't understand why some people seem to be so quick to hope that LeBron could justify an MVP this season, as if this were a weak MVP year just because LeBron and Durant weren't 1-2. What Harden, Curry, and Davis have done this year has been surreal, and any of them are legitimate MVPs. This isn't a Derrick Rose situation.

If Cle won the East, LBJ would deserve MVP if he was putting up his usual numbers. Of course we know that wont happen this year but what a silly post saying only west would deserve it. If Millsap was putting up 27/12/2 then he would deserve MVP, have you seen the Hawks record? No way does it matter about East vs West.

Right now it is Harden, as he is putting up great numbers while being the only reliable scorer on a team that has the 4th best record in the league so it will be his to lose. With that said, MVP races are not decided in February unless you are prime MJ, Lebron, etc.

1. Harden
2. Curry
3. Davis

4....

People overreacting to one game. Curry is still the MVP by a bit.

Tucker is a great defender, but there wasn't anything he or any other Sun could do to slow down Harden. Take away Harden from HOU's roster & they would be pretty terrible. Do the same with Curry & GS would be capable of playing .500 ball due to all their components. Both he & Curry (& Davis but that'll never happen) are deserving, but I'd give the slight nod to Harden at this point.

One game? Have you not been paying attention to what he's been doing all season?

I'm the biggest Curry fan around and I think he's in the conversation but Harden with that supporting cast? I have no idea how that team has the 3rd best record in the West

One thing we do no were picking Harden over Curry to start a franchise. I really hope Durant does not go superman mode and Harden wins the scoring title. Harden is just superiour to Curry.

That's such a silly requirement. At the moment Harden is playing at a higher level than Curry and his team is winning at a high rate.

i assume he just means the way the voting is done... same way rose won it...good play and top seed.. there is no way he thinks curry is carrying a heavier workload or playing better than harden is right now... howard isnt even playing, the rest of houston is mediocre at best

It's close between Curry and Harden. If Harden could finish in the top3 I would give him the MVP.

Harden deserves to win it, not only is he the better player, but he's putting the team on his back.

Curry doesn't have to carry his team. Plus, he's got a vastly superior coach in Kerr.

But unfortunately, I think curry will win it because hes the media darling.

Curry has a bigger impact on the Warriors than Harden has on the Rockets.

The warriors are 17 points better with Curry on the court than when he sits.

The rockets are 11 points better with Harden on the court than when he sits.

Curry also easily leads in every adjusted +/- such as RPM.

The rockets are winning games based heavily on their defense. A defense that becomes 5 points better when Harden takes a seat on the bench.

Harden's greatness is reaching almost mystical levels this season.
MJ territory.
Nobody carries a team better than James Harden.
Its like Jordan carrying the Bulls in 1997-98 when Pippen only played 44 games.

Hopefully Harden wins All-Star Game MVP and 3-point Shootout, because that will probably send big vibes to the MVP voters, even though there is no relevance really.
