People are saying that Mitch would want our pick to be top 10 extended which I find difficult for the suns to do. At the end of the day it will come down to who flinches first imo. Are the Suns ready for Dragic to leave or will they take something for him. on our side is will Mitch gamble on getting Dragic and losing out on our pick or will we just wait until free agency. Personally I would rathe wait until FA to offer him money.

I can't imagine any scenario where we would trade Dragic to you guys and change the protection on the pick to top 10 protected.

LOL. Right???

We trade our best player AND give the Lakers more protection on their pick???? LOL.

I'm going to laugh so hard if Swaggy P gets the Lakers in 5th place and the lottery balls drop them to 6th.

We're the Suns. The Lakers are picking 5th.

Dragic feels betrayed, it's why he doesn't want to be there. If you guys are going to blame anyone for him leaving, blame your GM. He's the one responsible for Dragic demanding a trade by using a 3 PG system. Hornacek deserves some blame as well. It's not just IT, but Bledsoe handling the ball more is also why he wants to go. He wants his own team and to be the primary ball handler, can't fault him for that.

Why would the Suns trade Goran Dragic to the Lakers AND add on more protection to the pick. That makes absolutely no sense. Yeah, let's improve the Lakers and guarantee for sure that we have no chance at all for their pick this year. Sure, that sounds like a great trade to me. Who the hell thinks of these things?

Attn: Lakers fans
You want Dragic? The price is Julius Randle and to remove protection off the pick. That too much for you? Okay fine. But stop making up these horrible trade ideas. The Suns are not interested in your garbage. Anything else on your team besides those two options is awful. You have nothing else of value to offer besides those two things.

There are many other suitors for Dragic. You need Dragic way more than the Suns need you as a trade partner. Get over it.

Yah Bledsoe's role is going a bit unnoticed in all this - my guess is if we had the Bledsoe of last year Dragic wouldn't be feeling so marginalised. What a chemistry cluster f*ck the GM has dumped on us.

To everyone that's saying "Goran's selfish, see its been reported that wants to leave PHX even if we traded IT so Goran doesn't like playing with Bledsoe either, here's some news for you:

The Suns, who traded Dragic in 2011, traded for Bledsoe in 2013 when he was one of the most-sought trade commodities and created a dual-playmaker backcourt. Dragic thrived when Bledsoe missed half of the season and they ultimately found chemistry for a 48-win season.

Dragic was content in that set-up but the addition of another starting-quality point guard in Thomas has put Dragic almost exclusively off the ball no matter if Thomas or Bledsoe are paired with him or if the Suns are in a three-point-guard lineup.

Even if the Suns traded Thomas, Dragic's mind appears to be set on leaving Phoenix in July free agency. A change of heart has not been ruled out but is portrayed as doubtful because Dragic's camp considers the perceived breach of trust to be irrevocable.

http://www.azcentral.com/story/sports/n ... /23595011/

So PLEASE quit with the BS that Dragic doesn't like playing with Bledsoe or whatever. Paul Coro is closer to the team than any of you and anyone else in the media. Take his word over anyone else's 10 times out of 10.

Dragic lost the trust in the FO after the FO went and rewarded him for his excellent play from last season by signing and drafting every PG in sight.

McD dun goofed when he signed that chucker Thomas.

Thomas ran Evans out of Sac Town, now Dragic out of Phoenix?

JTrain wrote:A couple things about Kerssed's insider's story aren't adding up for me.

If everyone involved had known for a while that Dragic wanted out, why would the agent wait until less than 48 hours before the deadline to give us a list of teams? Since Dragic doesn't have to sign off on a trade, we could have pulled the trigger before this meeting ever happened. It doesn't make sense for them to wait this long to give us a list.

Because Dragic and his agent saw that our asking price (Young all-star type talent and a 1st) was too damn high and no one was biting on it. So they did what they could to force our hand, give the FO a list, then leak the info to the media that he is refusing to re-sign with us. That right there caused his trade value to plummet immensely, and now teams that didnt think they stood a shot all of a sudden do. They wanted to make sure he got moved by the deadline, and the FO kept putting it off by talking to him about re-signing and making his trade value high (playing hardball with teams). They waited till the last minute and since we werent getting it done, they did what they could to get it done.

JTrain wrote:Also, since leaking the list obviously makes a trade more difficult, why would Dragic and/or his agent want that? It would increase the likelihood that we don't find a good trade and just stick with him for the rest of the season, which is the worst possible option for Dragic at this point.

It didnt make it more difficult, jsut the opposite. Teams thought we would keep him if we didnt get an young all-star type player and a 1st in return for him. That limited the teams right there. Him giving a list of 10 teams and then leaking all that info up, opened the opportunity to some teams who thought they didnt stand a chance at getting him. With Dragic value being so low now, every team has a shot. He f**ked us to drop his value and force our hand at trading him.

Yup. It's about money money money.

Why else go to a **** franchise like NYK or LAL? He wants to put up 25ppg the rest of the season as the primary option on offense so he can choose a 100 mil max contract with a rebuilding team or accept an 80 mil offer from a contending team.

He's pissed that he can't pump up his stats in a contract year.

**** Dragic. Bury his cry baby ass on the bench.

But but look at the metrics. They tell the whole story. IT is as clutch as they come and an efficient high volume scorer to boot

a 5'9 high volume scoring guard is the last thing this team needs.

Green did it well last season, Thomas has taken that role and alienated Dragic in the process.

Whatever the fallout blame the Suns, not Dragic - again, we (the GM / IT / Bledsoe) killed a great situation for him.

Stressed out - I need to go bum a f*g. (i'm english - and totally not homophobic ;)

WHY did the suns sign Thomas? Or more simplistic, why did the suns feel the need to sign another PG? Maybe Thomas wasnt the right PG to sign, but at the time, the suns had NO IDEA what Bledsoe was thinking. They made a move based on the possibility of Bledsoe taking his QO

It won't get a trade done, but it is the most they're going to offer. By having them off the list, what assets they have become irrelevant (because they wont trade them), and now the price is in the toilet.

But by dropping his trade value, he is risking not getting traded at all. Which, at this point especially, would be terrible for him.

If they wanted to force a trade, they should have just given us the list of teams and said, there is 0% chance we are re-signing here, so either figure out a trade or you'll end up getting nothing. This would force us to trade him before the deadline, even if it meant taking scraps in the waning hours before the deadline.

I don't see any benefit whatsoever to them leaking anything to the media. Again, if the Suns were told he was absolutely not re-signing, they would eventually open all avenues to get some trade done.
