Geez, talk about an entitlement complex. Sounds like Perk feels he deserves to be on a contending team because of "locker room presence" despite not having any kind of positive impact on the floor in like 4 years. Quite frankly, Perk is lucky that any team let him "sign up" for anything.

The team doesn't have enough guys that care about winning

While we can just sit back and armchair coach and GM? What leg do we have to stand on? This guy has played on Championship level teams and knows the drive and consistency it takes to win, he might not have the skills that it takes to win but he knows what it takes and he can provide leadership, and that's why he keeps getting deals.

Is this is what a championship experience veteran is suppose to communicate to a young group of player - calling them out in the public.

He wasn't brought there to be productive but more of a mentor and teacher and the team hasn't been putting on the effort. So the whole "he can't talk " is bs.

Kobe #1 in all star votes brah. Don't be butt hurt people will never love lebron like they love kobe

Don't love lebron or Kobe.

Even so Kobe being popular doesn't change the fact he's a terrible basketball player.

And him playing poorly this year does not give you an excuse to incite / troll / bait fanbases (and derail the discussion).

As for the topic - he's a vet, it makes sense for him to speak up. Him being a **** player since leaving Boston doesn't mean he should not be able to speak his mind.

No it means he knows what it takes, and has experienced success in multiple locations and different rosters. You are certainly allowed to comment on RealGM, by all means do it, you're definitely a more valued poster, but if you don't think he has a leg to stand on in ways of commenting on a team's drive compared to where it should be, then what leg do you have to stand on with that comment.

Atleast he can still say no team has ever beaten him in a 7 game series with him in the starting lineup cause hell never sniff a starting lineup ever again.

He has every right to say that because that's basically his only role on any nba roster at this point. It's not like the dude can actually play. But he's been a champion (and yes a key member) and then spent time with the contending Thunder. He's there to share with young guys what his former teams did to win. And that's exactly what he's doing now.

Im sure he's not so lacking in self awareness that he even believes he's a decent individual player at this point.
