When in doubt get more bigs.
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

I'd like to say this.
In the 2030, when we will look back at the Sixers' success and how lucky we were to switch Hinkie with Colangelo, we could proudly say: "all this started with the trade of Grant for Ilyasova".

BC is just trying not to blow up his cover being the puppet of Hinkie

Arsen Ilyasov from Uzbekistan, age 32
or
Ersan Ilyasova from Turkey, age 29

Which one you really are probably remains a mystery, although it's not hard to guess.

You can shoot sometimes, rebound sometimes, and that's about it. Still, you represent some potential trade value at the deadline, and you won't fight about being here (looking at you, Kirilenko).

Welcome.

Have to say, Ersan has really helped on the court so far. And this is probably the loneliest player thread we have.

It has always been with Ersan throughout his career. He neither has the looks nor the charm to attract fans. His pump fake doesn't help his popularity either. still, being tossed around the league like a potato sack for the last 2 years does not seem to have affected him so much. maybe it's because he still earns like 100 times more than average anybody and has this russian hotty as his wife.

maybe does not have the looks but Ersan is nearly a superstar in Turkey and so you're wrong on the "not attracting fans"

He is on the last year of his contract and it looks like it I have to say. But he's consistant, delivers double digit every game, 3 points shooting, some rebounds. What can you ask more? I do enjoy watching him play and hitting these crazy contested shots and his funny stepbacks.

Actually I am Turkish and he is not and was not anywhere nearly a superstar here. He is actually not even Turkish you know and there has always been a resistance against "converts" even he chose to play for the Turkish national basketball team. His request to be excluded from national team this year has also not helped. Some even see him as the main culprit of our elimination from olympic games. So as I said before, he is the type of lonely guy stuck between nationalities, duties, cultures while trying to find his niche by simply working hard and sacrificing his body to overcome his defects.

Dudes been our 2nd best player since the trade. Very consistent, although he's not great at the defensive end, he gives his effort and try to take charges whenever he can. I do hope they resign him next year, he'll be great off the bench.

Ersan Illyasova is my hero (after Embiid of course). Forced his way into the lineup and along with Embiid's Post Game protests about who's playing, pretty much changed all of the mainstream Philly media's views on what a productive 76ers lineup should look like going forward. Without Ersan, we'd still be discussing which Center we need to force into the starting lineup, to play along side of Embiid. By the trade deadline we should finally be ready to watch some consistently good NBA basketball. Things are finally turning for the better.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Well if you're Turkish you must know that in Turkey people are trying to make him go to the All Star game. Why would they do that if what you say is right?
