My take is the front office felt the team was too young already, and needed more veteran leadership in the locker room. Yea I'm sure that's it. I see it either way and we can probably all agree one of the vet moves in Beasley worked out, so far at least. I can't imagine anyone else was going to sign Novak though, give him a shooting coach title and bring him along just like you're doing now. That probably would've been my move
