Is Durant now the Savior?
KD is probably loving the warriors right now. They cant win a game without him.
Did he go from "riding the splash bros coattails to the savior"?

Is that guy Steph Curry still on the team? Heard he's alright.

Of course he will be our savior, Curry got his MVP and list of records, AI got his final MVP, Draymond will get his DPoY, and Durant will get his contribution recognized, we're a 'team' team, everybody gets their credit. We set this all up for success

Given how Durant has played in playoffs before... you better hope you are not relying on him to be your saviour.

Re: Is Durant now the Savior?
We struggled against a scrappy Sixers team that has no Embiid or Simmons and just edged out a 2 point win in a game where we trailed by 15-16 points in the 3rd quarter. I think it's safe to say Durant's legacy isn't as tarnished as people imagined. He's been the MVP of our team this year with how bad Steph's been lately.

Where are all the Warriors fans that said Curry was the better player because the net rating said so? LOL

Players Warriors lost in total > Durant. I would take my brakes in Durant being the Warriors savior.

I think we've reached a good sample size without Durant with 8 games since he went down (1st quarter of Wizards game).
We're 3-5 and in those 3 wins, we struggled to beat the Sixers today and weren't very good against the Knicks or Hawks either. Granted Steph has been awful lately, the numbers seem to indicate that our team is heavily reliant on Durant with the depth we lost. Giving meaningful NBA minutes to guys like McAdoo, McCaw and Looney usually doesn't work out too well. Pachulia and McGee have been alright though.
To be fair, losing some of that depth was inevitable. Bogut is done with injuries. Ezeli has been out with his bad knees again and might be forced to retire shortly. Otherwise, the depth we lost was Speights, Barbosa and Rush. Durant obviously replaced Barnes.
Before Durant went down, we were 50-9 and we were expected to cruise into the WCF. Without Durant, I'm worried about the struggle of getting past the 1st round.

The problem is Kerr. He changed the system to fit Durant which was awful decision. Now Durant is out, the main core looks same as last year but they are out of rhythm. They can't switch the system so easily after 5 games and be good again.

He was more important to our offense for the bulk of the season. With him on the bench we struggled. After his extended slump, I don't think I can say that he is anymore unless he gets it going in the last 15 games.

I think Gobert probably gets the DPoY.
Go Knicks!

No. Confirms just how important Bogut and Barnes were to the Warriors in the regular season.

It's Curry who makes it easier for everyone to score.
Its Green who makes the switching defense work.
Its Durant who makes it easier for Curry on offense and easier for Green on defense plus he is why they have different depth.

Obviously when you lose a top 5 player your team will decline. However, the fact that the injury occured at the same time as Steph's worse shooting slump in his life, (with Thompson being cold for a long time as well) is making the Warriors struggles look worse than they actually are.
I think they will get back on track even before Durant gets back.
