Re: 2020 off-season news thread
Sounds like Covid is actually causing heart ramifications in some people.
This seems strange for me but I don't even know of any scheduled games or if they are starting on time or not. Haven't looked, don't care.

Re: 2020 off-season news thread
the nfl is being really quiet about everything, seems like the expectation is to start on time (sept 10) but i'm not even sure if they've started practicing for real or just walk--throughs
was talking with a friend yesterday and apparently some places are going to have fans (cowboys at full capacity! ). guess i haven't heard for sure on the vikings but i'm guessing not since i think minnesota still has some crowd restrictions in place
we'll see how it goes, he thinks they are for sure going to play because there is so much money at stake

Re: 2020 off-season news thread
All the other sports are being played, so I'd expect football to be played unless something changes. Having crowds at full capacity just seems like asking for an outbreak though.

Re: 2020 off-season news thread
heard a zimmer interview on the radio, he likes the young corners and (with the caveat that he hasn't seen them tackle yet) thinks they could be better than last year's group of corners
didn't sound as confident about the o-line
it was a good interview with dan barreiro if you can find it somewhere

I've heard a lot of good things about Cam Dantzler coming out of camp.

Re: 2020 off-season news thread
which is good because there is a lot of pun/nickname potential with 'dantzler'

Re: 2020 off-season news thread
trade!
vikings get yannick ngakoue
jaguars get 2021 2nd, 2022 conditional 5th (could go up to 4th)
wasn't happy in jacksonville, this looks like a pretty good deal for us. more depth on the d-line which is good considering hunter hasn't been practicing

Re: 2020 off-season news thread
About the only news I've heard is the Zimmer and Spielman are extended, still have a passing QB matched with a Running system offensive coordinator. Still probably can't figure out an Oline so yea same old same old. Not excited. See you next year. Go Win a superbowl now that I can guarantee I probably won't watch more than a few quarters of play this season.

Re: 2020 off-season news thread
wow did not expect that, dalvin's deal is done
5 year, $63m extension, $28m guaranteed
good for dalvin but i'm not overly thrilled about putting so much money on a running back. hopefully he can stay healthy going forward

Re: 2020 off-season news thread
With only 28 guaranteed, Spielman is banking on Cook getting injured again and not having to pay that out longterm. That's 5 million less guaranteed than say Thielen got with one less year on his deal.
It just keeps him around for now. Still, 12+/yr is definitely AP focused money on a RB. This is where money spent on receivers takes a hit, already has with Diggs gone. Jefferson better work out because they aren't spending more there. I'm surprised they didnt' draft a new running QB. Maybe they did and I didn't notice. Welcome back 2007.

I did mention his unbelievably great contested catch % because it was by far and away the best in all of college football. That is a good thing. He also had the best completion rate by far of all WRs in college football. You have noted how that is good yourself. I also pointed out how he seldom had to make contested catches because he almost always got open. He's also very fast. Not Tyreek Hill fast but faster than 90% of the WRs in the league. Put all that together with his best hands in college football with volume and we got something far better than average. You are just being an ill tempered jerk in this discussion with me.
Yes Seriously regarded by the vast majority as the 4th best Wr in this draft and the vast majority considered this the best WR draft in history.
I don't care if you know or not. I"m suggesting you stop using it to disagree with people. I gave you the descriptions next to examples of your usage of it so you are sure to understand you have been. Now hearing you already know just tells me you aren't someone to expect a decent discussion with.
Best Hands of the draft! Best WR draft Eva! Consensus by everyone! Oh my god.
Any claim of this being the best WR draft ever, right now, is maybe the most laughable claim I have ever heard. Yet you still are trying to defend this statement. But if it does end up proving to be a great WR draft after a few years of proving so won't you feel foolish claiming they had to spend a FRP on a 6-1 WR if there were so many in this draft to choose from?
Claiming I'm being ill tempered sure is righteous from the guy who came out guns blazing saying I'm embarrassing myself and numerous other kind descriptions. This is classic you. Call someone names and disagree in order to get them talking to you.
I wrote you off last summer for doing the same thing. You've stepped in it again already in May so good riddance.
Edit: This is what your stains on the page look like to me now.Spoiler:
I just came back to revisit my debate with Jedzz over the Vikings drafting Justin Jefferson. I think this has aged very well for me and very poorly for him.

In my debate with Jedzz who do you think is looking better two years later.
