Bill Walton.
Not old enough to have seen Lew Alcindor or Oscar Robertson in college.

Probably Kareem or Bill Walton. It's before my time, but reading and hearing from people, those 2 sounds like absolute monster.

Re: Best college player you've ever seen?
The best college player I ever saw in person was Christian Laettner and I think he's widely considered the one of the 5 greatest by most everyone.
I just looked at his stats the guy shot .557% from three as a senior and it wasn't even on small volume. 54-97. It's crazy the way he shot FT's in general and three pointers in college and his shooting pedigree that he didn't have a better outside game in the NBA. You can't really blame it on the era either, there were a lot of big guys shooting three's by the time he entered his prime. He should have been more like a Dirk type player than what he ended up being.

NBA players hate his physicality, in college kids just didn't know what to do. He had a 40 point game as a Freshman against an ACC team(Georgia Tech).
I was at this game. It was insane how he could just move other players out of the way. But I'm in my mid-40's and as far as players I saw, meaning watched multiple times on TV or in person.
- Patrick Ewing
- Chris Mullin
- Grant Hill
- Kenny Anderson
- Larry Johnson
Edit: I didn't see Pistol, but Steph Curry games were really bizarre. He didn't have massive team success but he was playing with barely D1 dudes. I've certainly never seen defensive adjustments like the ones for Steph. As totally dominant as Chris Mullin was, teams weren't doubling him at half court.

Heh, I remember that as well. He was just weaving in and out of screens and firing bombs all tournament.
