Yea, Jamaal's got a knack for finding past posts. It's one of my favorite things, people can actually be held accountable for their predictions.

Hey, would you consider a possible trade for Markieff Morris? Apparently PHX is looking to move one of the twins. At 6'10, 245 lbs he is similar to Millsap in a lot of ways but is only making about $6m per. Would you do it? What would it take?

How about this?
Hawks get: Markieff Morris
Suns get : Mike Muscala and Shelvin Mack
Morris can step right into Sap's shoes in our system and saves us about $10m per. We could then resign Carroll and pursue depth and front court size under the cap.

Nooo way. The Morris's are to much of a headcase. I believe both are under investigation right now for some Type of crime at the moment and everyone all saw the explosive meltdown they had screaming at the suns coach. They might even be one notch higher than lance Stephenson as far as locker room cancers go.

Phoenix Suns' Morris twins investigated in alleged beatingHood told police that the man who had approached him held him down while four men, including the Morris twins, kicked and hit him repeatedly, according to the report. All five then left the area in a Rolls-Royce Phantom as bystanders began to appear...A witness positively identified both brothers as participants in the attack, authorities said.

Just think that we see too much of trade suggestions involving JT and DS, usually fueled by the perceived need to replace DMC. BTW, the need is real too but let's not get carried away.
I will let the duo grow more, with Mack so far as a back-up but also as a later trading chip if necessary.
Recapping so far:
Losing. Replaced by:
Antic. Splitter ++
Brand. Tavares - now but over time could change
DMC. Holiday -- again, could change
Jenkins(?). Hardaway +
Daye. Robinson or other from Summer League or FA ( Dorell Wright , other) could be a plus here too
Most importantly, without KK and maybe Thabo at full speed for a while, we might initially see more that just one guy coming out of SL or FA. Ashley could make the team initially and we would grow from there.
The major - is the loss of experience that players like EB, Pero and DMC were bringing to the table.
On the other hand, I am looking for an improved Bazemore and even more Schroder. I also think that Scott will work at improving his game more after losing PT last year. Finally, Moose will grow his game hopefully and become a bigger part of that team.
In the end, the team could get better depending how quickly new players can adapt to Bud system and specifically what contribution we could get from Hardaway/ Holiday. Could turn out to be a nice surprise!

Look like Joakim Noah is coming off the bench. He'd look good in Atlanta. bring him and Horford back together

Yes. He'd be a fantastic addition.
Do we have anything that Chicago could want? Tiago's cheaper contract? Minnesota's pick? Shelvin Mack? Tim Hardaway, Jr?

Given his previous season I'd say there's a good reason why he was benched. Given that he's scored all of 2 points in 3 games since being benched I'd say that reason is kind of being confirmed. Add in his contract amount plus the fact that it's expiring and this becomes an easy pass.

Agreed. Noah in the past was a worthy all star and a defensive anchor, now he's just washed up. I wouldn't give any value for him at this point, especially with an expiring contract.

In a multiple team trade, would the Hawks send out Shelvin Mack and Lamar Patterson for a 2019 Cleveland Cavaliers Second Round Draft Pick and Vince Carter as a locker room presence?

Hawks likely would be unwilling to do that trade as it doesn't really improve the team short or long term. Better off keeping those minor pieces for depth or to include in a larger, more ambitious trade if necessary.

Really no reason for the Hawks to trade two serviceable players for a late 2nd who will likely never make an nba team and a vet who also will not play.

Not a trade, but I also didn't want to clutter your board so I will ask this here - How much of a lock is Horford re-signing with Atlanta? Is there any chance he leaves? ATL willing to match any offer (making money considerations equal)?

Coach and PBO Bud likes his guys so he's basically a lock to attempt to do whatever he can to resign Al no matter what it takes, be that good or bad.
There may be a little mutually beneficial negotiation on the numbers and years in between much like with Millsap which I'd be hopeful for since Al's rebounding and toughness is at an all-time low so far.
Al doesn't have any really long standing issues with the organization or fans, he's escaped a metric ton of criticism because of other larger lightning rods surrounding him throughout his career (Joe Johnson and his contracts plus laid back attitude then Josh Smith and his all around stubbornness). He chirped a bit in the past about wanting to play PF but has been mum on that for a few years now, even verbally accepted it last season. Regardless, he'd drastically limit his market if he's at all solely motivated with being another team's 4 given that he'd have to find a team that 1) sees him as 4, 2) has the cap to pay him what he'd like, 3) views him as an All Star at the 4 worthy of spending a large chunk of that cap in the first place.
I won't say he's a lock to stay because the NBA can be very fluid over a full season but I'd say there's very little chance he leaves though.
