You look at the shot profile of these teams, especially 3PTAs, and they are not generating wins by outattempting the opponent from the 3pt line.
Detroit attempts 32 3PTA per game, Toronto attempts 32, OKC attempts 39 and Denver attempts 33 3PTAs...
In this era, some have argued the math ball approach: win possessions (turnovers and O-rebounds) and win 3PTAs and you'll math your way to wins ... and it looks like the NBA has solved for that. The top two seeds in each conference, none attempt 40 3PTA per game.
3PTAs and math was the thing in 2023, 2024, and 2025.
This season the NBA has gone back to a more traditional game.
Teams now are going big and playing with more physicality.
That's why I'm curious to see if Brad upgrades the roster by bringing in more size.
