You're going to quote Phil as if he's going to say otherwise?

I guess I can post Tyson Chandlers blog with him endorsing Chris Paul ?

I was pointing out some media guys endorsing Paul, just the same as Greg Anthony and JVG.

Are you looking for things to pick at and cause a fight? I wrote this at the end to not get comments like yours:"Since we've had NOLA's announcer's pick, I guessed putting P-Jax's quote here wouldn't hurt. It probably isn't the most objective, but whatever."

And yes, you can post Chandler's blog, it's just another opinion, like that was an opinion from Phil. And the same as Mike Brown believes that LeBron is the MVP and Garnett believes Pierce is the MVP.

Be cool. ;)

Actually no im not looking to fight bro...lol

I saw what you said at the end, but I wouldnt put stock in much of anything Phil says. You know he'll write a book about you then be your good friend if the money is right.

I don't think there's anything wrong with putting stock into what Phil says. He speaks his mind, and his last book is like a journal.

This isn't religion where people aren't allowed to have opinions or change their minds, so Phil changing his opinion on Kobe since writing his book is a result of current times.

He is right about what he said. Kobe is having one of his finest seasons in terms of being a true team player and helping others get involved.

I find it funny that somebody gets credit for getting his teammates involved after all these years..isn't that something you're SUPPOSED to automatically do?..

That's the least bean could do after throwin the organization under the bus like a little whiny trick.
Passing the ball to your teammates is something that goes with a TEAM sport like basketball. Surely I don't credit him for passing the freaking ball like it some revolutionary discovery.

Nobody is putting stock in what Phil says except the people who are already saying kobe is mvp (namely his zealous fans)

btw, we likely won't hear anything until the end, but I still think its Chris Paul't to win or lose at the moment.

Hmmm....Phil said this was Kobe's finest season. Not the ONLY season he's done this.

Of course, no one is going to remember who lead 3 straight championship teams in assists or was the facilitator of 3 championship offenses.

LMAO..

Kobe 1st Place Voters:

David Aldridge
Marc Stein
Sam Smith
Woody Paige
Jay Marriotti
Kenny Smith
Reggie Miller
Jon Barry
Dan Patrick
Marty Burns
Jack McCallum
Stephen A. Smith
David Thorpe

Those are some pretty big names on the record for Kobe right now. Many of those don't have Paul #2 either. Sam Smith has Paul behind Lebron and Garnett. Aldridge has Garnett, Lebron and then Paul.

That's interesting considering that I stated a few pages back that CP3 was my MVP.

Yeah, that's absolutely hilarious, especially when you analyze the situation without using your brain.

Let me see if I can try that awesome style of posting...

This will be Kobe's first year ever that he's gotten others involved, even though he's led the Lakers in assists all but 2 times since becoming a starter.

yes, DOLT because i wasn't referring to you when i said his zealous fans, i was just replying to your post in the rest of the refernce.

there have been a few lakers/kobe fans in this thread that hasn't made themselves out to be "entitled", but then again i wasnt speaking on them either.

There are however some serious nuthuggers that cant have a simple conversation of opposing views without throwing the words "you're a hater" out there. Lord forbid anyone sees things through different eyes.

Mainly I was saying Phil can and has flip flopped and isnt expected to say anything than what he said.

CP's individual brilliance has coincided with team success.

Kobe's individual brilliance has coincided with team success in spite of adversity to himself and his teammates.

Advantage: Kobe.

I seriously doubt that Bryant will be the beneficiary after the votes are counted. I mean, the man hasn't finished above 3rd in voting despite having some ridiculously good seasons so I'm pretty inclined to think that he is not the media's favourite...

I understand what she's trying to say, I just think that she's not using the best arguments.

More with less definitely doesn't apply to Paul. That was proven time and again. I do agree that he is a viable candidate, but not because of the stated. He didn't have his frontline missing for 20 games and has had the privilege to play with an intact starting lineup for 55 games. Bryant had to orchestrate 16 different starting line-ups in which only himself and Fisher were the constant, and hasn't played more than 14 games with the same one. How that can be overlooked when looking at the bigger picture is beyond me. Sure the Lakers roster looks fantastic on paper... the reality is that the players have missed over 160 games combined and that at the moment 3 of their starters are playing with injuries. And yet they remaing 1,5 games from the 1st seed and are in control of their own fates since they face both SA and NOH at home. That is impressive. Why is it hard to acknowledge that? If the majority of us, who pull for Kobe to get it and cheer for the purple and gold can compliment Chris Paul and the Hornets and their extraordinary season, why is it so hard for other people to say:"God damn, these Lakers sure are hangin' in there considering their ridiculous injuries." Is it... hate? ;)

To sum up my pointless long rant; Chris Paul is great. He is a frontrunner for the MVP. He's having an awesome season with brilliant production and surprisingly leading his team to the 1st seed. He didn't do it alone or with little help though. To state that is blatantly skewing the facts. David West is an All-Star. Tyson Chandler is one of the best rebounders in this league. Peja is one of the deadliest shooters in league history. They've missed a combined 14 games.

cheers
