Bynum is the only thing of value but with him its a catch 22, only way he gets traded if he gets injuried again but that would mean his value is in the crapper.....maybe if Brown plays up to form and some team out there wants him bad enough for a S&T so he can get more money, outside of that, we got NOTHING but hey, in Mitch we trust
Agreed, Bynum is the only thing we have of value. But if we can't win a title this year, and over the summer either Paul or Deron starts to voice their displeasure, do you think the Lakers would look into trading Bynum, then and signing a C in the offseason? For all of those who say "No we would need Bynum for Howard" well think about it like this. Why would Howard want to join us in 2012 and the only somewhat good player on the roster would be a 35 yr old Kobe Bryant? Because thats what it would take to get Howard, we'd have to trade everyone including Gasol. We would need another good player to making our landing site more enticing. Why not trade Bynum to either UTH or N.O., convince that player to take less and then ship Gasol/Odom/filler to ORL.
I know Kobe's contract will prevent this from happening, but I guess it makes for discussion. I just don't see us getting stopped from 3-peating, without a big move following.
