Bynum is the only thing of value but with him its a catch 22, only way he gets traded if he gets injuried again but that would mean his value is in the crapper.....maybe if Brown plays up to form and some team out there wants him bad enough for a S&T so he can get more money, outside of that, we got NOTHING but hey, in Mitch we trust :D

Agreed, Bynum is the only thing we have of value. But if we can't win a title this year, and over the summer either Paul or Deron starts to voice their displeasure, do you think the Lakers would look into trading Bynum, then and signing a C in the offseason? For all of those who say "No we would need Bynum for Howard" well think about it like this. Why would Howard want to join us in 2012 and the only somewhat good player on the roster would be a 35 yr old Kobe Bryant? Because thats what it would take to get Howard, we'd have to trade everyone including Gasol. We would need another good player to making our landing site more enticing. Why not trade Bynum to either UTH or N.O., convince that player to take less and then ship Gasol/Odom/filler to ORL.

I know Kobe's contract will prevent this from happening, but I guess it makes for discussion. I just don't see us getting stopped from 3-peating, without a big move following.

from denver... i think thats the only trade we would need at the moment.. just to get it over the hump so we can focus on the 3rd ring..

Looks like Leon Powe is going to be bought out. Could use another big body, Powe was good with the C's, don't know if the injury he suffered is the reason for his poor play or maybe it's just Cavs fever.

I dont know if anyone has mentioned this yet but what about Felton supposedly the Nuggets want to move him because they want to give the mins to Lawson so why don't the Lakers trade Blake and Ratliff for Felton. I know the Nuggets would probably not want the remaining 3 yrs of Blakes contract but he would be a nice vet backup for Lawson.

Blake's contract isn't bad at all, but the Nuggets would want draft picks in the deal too. I'm not opposed to it, but teams would have better deals than us.

I don't know Portland doesn't seem all that interested in adding much to their offer from all that we've heard. No Batum or anything like that. You can probably add 3m in cash so that Denver can buy a pick in this draft, a couple of 2nds (early 2nds) are probably worth as much as a late 1st so it comes to:

- Blake, two 2nds, 3m, Caracter, Ratliff, and Ebanks. It's quite a bit but Felton is the team's first legitimate PG in a very long time. He's a guy that can do very well after the triangle is long gone.

I dont know about giving that much to them, but if thats what it take then i guess we might have to. Blake isnt bad, but i would like to see more consistency out of our PG position. I would love to have Felton as our starting PG, I think its well worth going for. Besides Blake, we dont really get most if any production out of the other players. Felton will give us blake's production and more. so i wont take us back but will only take us forward. BUT.. as the future goes, he is our now and playoff solution. I think felton can hold his ground and try to cancel out most PGs for us. making it easier for us to take home our 3rd. Once next year rolls around, he is an expiring contract and an asset to add on for any combination of felton, odom, bynum, walton, artest for Howard and CP3/Dwill.

The trade Jajwanda put up is a little to much to give up for Felton I would say Blake, Ratliff and the NY and Golden State 2nd round picks this yr would be enough. Also if this Felton theory happens I don't think he'll start until next season.

All I know is that one or both of them will be out of reach, and also I won't to take to Utah no more after that Boozer for Bulter nightmare. Also Paul is a New York bound.

I can definitely see Charlotte being desperate to get rid of Stephen Jackson. Perhaps you trade Shannon Brown for Robin Lopez, while trading Walton+Ratliff+Smith+Ebanks+2nd+cash for for Stephen Jackson.

Those trades would give you a heck of a lineup at the wing positions with four very good defenders and some youth behind Bynum.

Another option would be Josh Childress for Walton with Shannon Brown being dealt to New Orleans along with Blake for Jarret Jack.

That's if Shannon likes NO because he can veto that trade because he doesn't want to lose his bird rights.

I wish we could trade Barnes and Ratliff or Character for Corey Brewer. That's one move I would make to try and improve this team.

Brewer could be had for the TPE as well. N.Y. has incentive to do that since they can add in their expiring contracts they just received for a larger trade if they get under the cap.

Thats the second time you've posted CP3 to MIA. Am I missing something?

Sorry guys, I meant after next season when they're FA.
