I just don't see any reason to even have a pick this year since players like Noel have gone thru (2) ACL's in 4 years n all.

Nerlens will be fine. James Andrews is his doctor. You're scared for no reason.

Regardless, let's take Marcus Smart. PG of the future.

I see your hyperbole, and match it with more hyperbole.

Being concerned about an ACL injury isn't "no reason". You've got more reason to be concerned than to assume it will be fine.

I know. I'm just saying that because he plays doctor in every post claiming Nerlens is injury prone and a guaranteed bust. Even though scouts who get paid to do what they do say he has the most potential. And anyone who has watched him play knows the impact he has on the floor.

yeah, i'd give up trying to have a rational discussion with BMP. and don't let him tar your opinion of other people who have genuine concerns about the injury.

The injuries concern me but we really have no proof as far as I know that the injuries are linked. If Hennigan does his homework and it turns out that he's 100%, I wouldn't be opposed to the Magic selecting him.

My order right now goes:
1.) Marcus Smart
2.) Nerlens Noel
3.) Trey Burke
4.) Ben McLemore
5.) Shabazz Muhammad

Confused as to if people are being sarcastic or not a bit in this thread to be honest. Not that he's all that reputable of a source, but BS just tweeted that Noel also tore the same ACL in high school. So is this true or not? Also, this could get interesting:

We already have 2 first round picks next year. We have our own and the least favorable pick between Denver and New York.

BS has no idea what he is talking about.
A smart coach once said, "Potential just means you're not good enough yet." Playing on potential is like living on air: It's essential, but if thats all you have, you're eventually going to starve.

Wasn't an ACL it was his growth plate in his left knee, the same knee he injured his ACL. problem was this was his sophmore year of high school. He's an awkward looking guy that sometimes land irregularly. This has alot of scouts scared that there maybe structural damage and a recurrence of knee injuries.

Five games into his sophomore season at Everett (Mass.) High, Noel fractured a growth plate in his left knee and missed the rest of the season. John DiBiaso, his former coach, said in a phone interview that doctors told Noel to rest the knee through the summer. But, DiBiaso said, Noel started playing with his travel team that spring at the urging of his advisers.

Additionally he sprained his left ankle his senior year of high school in an AAU tournament. He weighed 208 pounds at one tournament, a scout said and that was with gear on. Nerlens was probably more like 190 pounds...

Most sites have him between 218-225. Still too small with a history of knee issue. You put more weight on that knee and just too much of a high risk for me. Dr. Andrews or not. Some people don't have RGIII or Adrian Peterson's body.

Good article on Burke comparing him to Chris Paul.

Burke plays with the passion of two-time NBA champion Isiah Thomas. He has court vision similar to that of Steve Nash, as Burke led the Big Ten with 6.6 assists to go along with his 18.8 points. Burke leads like Chris Paul and he can get to the basket with a fearlessness that resembles Allen Iverson.

Talk about praise.

I thought that Michigan Kansas game was very telling. Burke basically refused to let his team lose and took over. Hit huge shots and made key defensive plays. McClemore had a good box score, but disappeared in OT. I dont even know if he took a shot.

COMPLETELY OT....but any baseball fans just catch that Braves ending?

Braves down 1 going to the bottom of the 9th & BJ Upton (Older Bro) leads it off with a homer to tie it.....after 1 out....Justin Upton (Younger Bro) hits a walkoff homer. Pretty nuts.
