It will be interesting to see if he can do it. I was looking at some stats and draft projections last night and there was a projection based off BMI. Oladipo is big, 215 pounds or so I think, and he was ranked as a 2/3 and McLemore was a 2/1. Primary/secondary. If he's got some post game and can stay in front of opposing PGs, could be a real gem.

"Postions" are very overrated, give me 5 good basketball players over 5 average position players together on the court any day. Talent wins games.

Talent is what's important, but it's based on opponent position. It matters what they play against. Harkless could be a good SF, but too slow to guard SG and not have good enough dribble to score against opposing SGs.

Name 1 shooting guard in this league that Mo would have trouble guarding? Harden is slow, D Wade is no longer D Wade, Kobe is old and slow, Joe Johnson is slow, I cannot think of a sg he would struggle against other then Monta Ellis whos a hybrid

Moe would have trouble guarding most of them. He uses his length and wingspan to make up for his lack of footwork and instincts and that doesn't work all the time. In the course of a game, he's just going to get outplayed. He doesn't appear to be getting any smaller or faster either.

^ Ellis-or any of these 2 point lineups, but then I think he length would be to much for the smaller combo guards

oladipo is going to maximize every ounce of his potential. hearing him talk, and mclemore is night and day, oladipo strikes me as a potential leader of men who will not let anyone slack off, once he gets comfortable. just tighten up the handle and work on that jumper vic

I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

Moe will have no trouble at all guarding SG's his length and athleticism will work wonders for him and with his added strength he can bang with them if they try to post him. Dipo at the PG is interesting i guess he's definitely unselfish i guess we'll see, Rob wouldn't say that if he didn't see something there. Don't see why we have to put labels and positions on players let's just see how it works for us i mean if there is anytime to try something it's now smack middle in the rebuild

dennis nuemann said harkless has been working alot on his jump shot.
i don't think we'll regret passing on mclemore, he's a passenger. i love his talent, and his shooting technique but his interviews are that of a player who will need to be constantly prodded. Oladipo OTOH will want to be front and center, you can see immense leadership potential

Meh. Definite step down from Guokas. If they HAD to replace MG, I'd rather they went in an entirely new direction.

Hennigan said on his 580 interview he wouldn't rule out playing victor at point. Went something along the lines of " I can envision victor playing with harkless in the backcourt, I wouldn't rule him out of playing point" something like that.

I really like Romero he seems like a high character guy with his head on straight and knows how to handle business. I do question if he can make the transition to the small forward spot but he does have a nasty mid range game and I'm really interested to see how he looks in the summer league.

why did the old russian teams school USA college players in the Olympics? the college players had more talent. Its one reason USA practically forced NBA players into the Olympics. These other national teams would have less talent, but know their roles well and would beat us.

Rcklss I agree with a lot of your views but this Harkless can't guard SGs thing is just straight horse **** lol. He guarded the opposing teams BEST wing player every game last year. That means Durant instead of Sefelosha.......+ Kobe, LeBron, Paul George, James Harden, it didn't matter. If he can play good D on those guys he will have no trouble at all with the likes of Klay Thompson, OJ Mayo, and Derozan.

If rob honestly thinks Vic can eventually run the point than he's got to see something.

Just listening to NBA TV who think we made a reach for Oladipo and that we settled for a guy that we thought would work hard for a couple years while we rebuilt and not necessarily the most talented guy. Drafted a need. If McLemore becomes a perennial all-star everyone in Orlando is getting fired. -Aldridge.

Aldridge is an idiot. Using his logic then all 6 teams that passed on McLemore are going to fire their entire front office.

I still think Ben has the highest potential to be an All Star but that's ridiculous.

All 6? We are the only team that picked a guard over Mac out of those teams. I think that is his point.

If they fire Henny over one pick, our management is awful.
what? 6 teams passed on Ben. Wasn't he taken 7th?
