Houston has to be kicking themselves for declining parsons option. His salary was so low it wouldn't have affected their ability to chase Bron and bosh. I assumed they had a wink wink deal in place with parsons to extend after they chased free agents but I guess not.

I love how everyone is always surprised at how overpaid all of these players are. Haven't you all followed this league for years? You have to pay these players or you won't get them.

I love our team but let's not pretend that McD or anyone else thought we'd be that good last year. We lucked into a good situation but are doing nothing to further it along. I'm all for watching our young players get some more burn. I think Len and Goodwin are going to take large strides this year and I think Warren is our SF of the future.

I just would have liked for us to make one decent free agency acquisition. As has been pointed out by others, we aren't really saving our cap space for next year because we'll have to use it to retain Dragic and the Morri and pay our other draft picks. This was the year to spend on free agents and go over the cap to resign Bledsoe.

I mean, I don't buy the moral victories always being floated about here. At least the league knows we're ready to spend because we offered Eric Gordon a max. The league will see how great we are because we let Caron go to Milwaukee. At least the league might consider us in the future as a great destination because Lebron was considering us. I think this is all BS.

Eh. I guess we could still offer something to Deng even though I think he might be past his prime years.

I'm honestly shocked at those that are freaking out - every huge contract that gets signed, I'm completely glad it's not us giving that contract out.

I see this: "Chandler Parsons, Mavs Agree Upon $46M Offer Sheet" and I'm like, "Bullet dodged, thank God."

I'm not gonna lie I'm irritated. The FO has been boasting all these assets. I was actually excited because they filled my head with all these delusions of grandeur.

I'm sorry if I'm tired of being the brides maid. I want some reason for excitement.

Granted there is still (always) time to make a big trade.

Theyre boasting about them because they are valuable and would be wasted on a mediocre trade. It seems like McD eithet fleeces someone or its no deal. He doesnt plan on overpaying for anyone thats why he probably didnt try very hard to keep Frye. The big moves will come but they have to be the right ones. You cant make moves just because you can. Personally either we trade for Love or we sign gasol for like two years. Anything else is a waste of assets unless we net an allstar which is very unlikely

Yes, huge swing and miss for them.
Also they traded asik who did clear cap but it was suppose to be for a significant signing and they might strike out on
Melo, Lebron and bosh.

Morey might that a L on this offseason still plenty of time though

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

I get the frustration some of you have with the inactivity. Maybe I'm just more used to it being that I'm a diehard green bay packer fan and i go through this every NFL offseason, our fans freak out because of lack of free agent signing but overall the restraint has been a good thing for the franchise. I get that the NFL and NBA team building models are different but believe in a patient smart approach in any sport.

What the f$@&!&@&&$$@!""/&:$)&// @&$ are the suns doing. Sitting on their a$$ watching espn, watching all the signings?

The FO promised moves this offseason and they boasted all these assets and cap space. And we get NOTHING.

I'm going to break my iphone once I see the suns resign tucker than boast about it! Don't know how to type how angry I am right now.

Would you rather pay Chandler Parsons $15m a year?

Hell ya. There isn't many chances to sign quality players. When you wait around for the perfect situation, it's not gonna be there. You have cap space and assets, you use them.

You guys think saving the cap space and assets is smart. It's like hoarders, they save stuff and never use it.

I get what you're saying but you have to realize, we were fortunate to compete last year. This is supposed to be year 2 of our rebuild. What would adding a cap strangle player like Parsons do for us? I agree we should have made a play for him (for cheaper) but we have our own guys to worry about right now. 4 guys need developing.

The only true argument I would have is, we could have signed him and traded him this season if we really didn't want him. But still, it is what it is. This free agent class has a lot of candy, but not necessarily the good kind.

Yea, let's just spend money to spend money. Yea, let's over pay players, because imbeciles from other team have. Yea there are no PFs left, what do we do? Boo hoo hoo.....

Hey ass holes, let's develop the players we have.

You don't win a title without superstars and you don't win titles paying non-super stars as if they were super stars!!

Our offseason doesn't have to be sexy or splashy... but it should be effective. If the Suns improve and make the playoffs next year, I am happy. If they show potential and develop players, I am happy.

As fans, we need to know that this org is committed and going in the right direction. I believe they are. I believe in the current front office because of our AWESOME offseason last summer. It surprised the heck out of this fan.

Please don't make a move to make a move. Sometimes the best option is to do nothing... look at the dbacks. The grass is NOT always greener.

Whatever happens, I am confident in the FO and their judgment.

I think a lot of us are expecting moves only for the fact Ray Ray said to expect a bumpy ride.

That could mean anything but I think a lot inferred it meant moves.

Well see!

I am much more excited to watch Archie, Alex, TJ, Plums and Ennis this saturday night than overpayng role players like Chandler Parsons today.

Sunsdeuce, you should really take a chill pill, watch our exciting prospects grow and enjoy the ride.

Yep! If we were on the verge of being a contender than I would say go PAY a guy like Parsons. But we have no need to. We are still rebuilding, we don't have a star. Why blow your wads to be a 9th,8th,7th seed?

Wishing death over someone physically hurting someone is pretty terrible as well.

Seriously.

I'm skeptical about that story personally. If true, that would be attempted murder. Why weren't police charges filed or a multimillion dollar lawsuit for that matter? That story reeks of Birdman/Kobe style slander IMO.

Why would it be attempted murder instead of Assault and Battery? Or at worst Assault with a deadly weapon? And charges were filed

"A judge released Stephenson, 19, without bail late Sunday night after his arrest on assault, menacing and harassment charges. Prosecutors had asked for $7,500 bail."

Apparently these owners didn't learn their lesson during the lockout. Still overpaying players and handing out money and long term contracts.

Return to Phoenix Suns
