Deandre would cover the blocking and rebounding part indeed. we have lacked that. I hate hack a Deandre though.

Most recent report said they weren't going to, IIRC -- and they better not change it. Guys should learn how to shoot FTs and, as infuriating it may be to watch him go 4/12 with the Knicks if he does sign with us, my opinion on it won't change.

NBA mock draft has Bulls selecting Christian Wood
written by Dan Cahill posted: 05/20/2015, 11:24am

Sports Illustrated’s NBA guru Chris Mannix just released his second mock draft.

With the No. 22 pick, Mannix has the Bulls taking Christian Wood, a 6-11, 220-pound forward from UNLV.

Mannix writes:

The rapidly developing Wood is a bit of a risk here—Justin Anderson or Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, two defensive-minded players, are safer picks—but the Bulls need frontcourt offense and Wood has terrific inside-out potential. He won’t play much in his first year, maybe two, but he has an enormous upside.

Here’s what DraftExpress says about Wood:

Considered somewhat of a project coming out of high school, after enrolling at UNLV at 17-years old and just 200 pounds, expectations weren’t particularly high for Christian Wood following a fairly quiet freshman season, where he played just 13 minutes per game. He exceeded them in a major way, developing into a second-team all-Mountain West player, despite the Running Rebels having a fairly disappointing campaign, going just 8-10 in conference play. Standing 6-11, with a 7-3 wingspan, Wood has excellent size and length for a NBA power forward.

when shved was put into the lineup, more pick and roll was run. it was half triangle half shved pick and roll lmao from what i remember at least.

Anything interesting from Jerian and Kris' interview on the radio earlier today? So far all the interviewers have been asking them the same questions, wondering if there's any new tidbits on this guy.

Deandre Jordan up front would be a major upgrade. I prefer Aldridge but if we can get a commitment from Deandre early Id lock him up.

“A lot of fans weren’t happy they drafted me,” Porzingis said. “I have to do everything that’s in my hands to turn those booing fans into clapping fans. There’s nothing I can do. I was happy about it. I want to be part of this organization. Fans are a little bit harsh sometimes, but that’s how it is in New York and I’m ready for it.”

gave him the partial guarantee, thats going to lock it up...i don't think we are in a position to be locking up undrafted FA's and eating up space until FA's plays out.

Jay Williams was basically useless last night as far as contributing much of anything useful or insightful. Him and Jalen Rose? What a pair. You know it's bad when your sitting their hoping Jay Bilas does most of the talking. They might as well just like Charles, Shaq, Ernie and Kenny do the draft. At least it'll be exciting and funny nonsense (Charles: "That's a turrble, turrible pick", Shaq can then do a Shaqtin the Draft).

jay williams hates the triangle because it takes the ball out of the PG hands.

that is the only thing he said last night. He is clueless. Rose with his player projections was ridiculous too. Bilas is ok and Fran is ok.

Espn really has got to get there sh*t together. NBA TV really needs to broadcast as well and get better analysts on like NFL network does.

I stopped watching the ESPN draft broadcast of the NFL a few years ago because Mayock and the analysts becausee they know a lot more about the draft. ESPN only cares about ratings and less about the things true fans care about. Breaking down selections and fit. ESPN has gotten too big for its own good, too mainstream now.

For example how is chris broussard employed by ESPN? He has absolutely no sources. He was saying names like Lyles and Hezonja. When nothing was pointing to them.

Jay Williams holds a grudge because he played one year and was garbage...he probably blames his bad rookie year on the triangle.

Atlanta trades the 19th pick (jerian Grant) to New York for Tim Hardaway Jr.

knicks small logoFour players from the 2013 draft have averaged double figures in each of their first two seasons – lottery picks Victor Oladipo, Trey Burke and Michael Carter-Williams and Hardaway, the 24th selection. He will be expected to do more than chase stats in Atlanta, but he is a career 35 percent from the arc and should get better alongside better players in a better system. (Yes, Phil, a better system.) He also provides a bit of insurance if the Hawks cannot re-sign Carroll. Without another draft pick until 2017, the Knicks used the pick to select point guard Jerian Grant, a needed piece with a strong pedigree who will be in the rotation next season. A good deal for both teams. WINNER: Hawks

holy jeez his hole site is littered with trolling....you can't watch basketball and tell me the hawks won that trade.
