“A lot of fans weren’t happy they drafted me,” Porzingis said. “I have to do everything that’s in my hands to turn those booing fans into clapping fans. There’s nothing I can do. I was happy about it. I want to be part of this organization. Fans are a little bit harsh sometimes, but that’s how it is in New York and I’m ready for it.”

Jay Williams was basically useless last night as far as contributing much of anything useful or insightful. Him and Jalen Rose? What a pair. You know it's bad when your sitting their hoping Jay Bilas does most of the talking. They might as well just like Charles, Shaq, Ernie and Kenny do the draft. At least it'll be exciting and funny nonsense (Charles: "That's a turrble, turrible pick", Shaq can then do a Shaqtin the Draft).
jay williams hates the triangle because it takes the ball out of the PG hands.
that is the only thing he said last night. He is clueless. Rose with his player projections was ridiculous too. Bilas is ok and Fran is ok.
Espn really has got to get there sh*t together. NBA TV really needs to broadcast as well and get better analysts on like NFL network does.
I stopped watching the ESPN draft broadcast of the NFL a few years ago because Mayock and the analysts becausee they know a lot more about the draft. ESPN only cares about ratings and less about the things true fans care about. Breaking down selections and fit. ESPN has gotten too big for its own good, too mainstream now.
For example how is chris broussard employed by ESPN? He has absolutely no sources. He was saying names like Lyles and Hezonja. When nothing was pointing to them.

knicks small logoFour players from the 2013 draft have averaged double figures in each of their first two seasons – lottery picks Victor Oladipo, Trey Burke and Michael Carter-Williams and Hardaway, the 24th selection. He will be expected to do more than chase stats in Atlanta, but he is a career 35 percent from the arc and should get better alongside better players in a better system. (Yes, Phil, a better system.) He also provides a bit of insurance if the Hawks cannot re-sign Carroll. Without another draft pick until 2017, the Knicks used the pick to select point guard Jerian Grant, a needed piece with a strong pedigree who will be in the rotation next season. A good deal for both teams. WINNER: Hawks
