I always wonder why they don't at least try to not be obvious. I mean, ease in for a day or two instead of starting 8 threads on Kobe in an hour.

The one today even said "I have 5000 alt accounts"

That Kobe guy's been around for years. 100+ wouldn't surprise me at all.

2012

Another account in 2012

Another in 2012

2011

Different account in 2011

I mean I can keep going farther back, but we'd be at this all week. I don't know if its hilarious or pitiful.
But in his home dwelling...the hi-top faded warrior is revered. *Smack!* The sound of his palm blocking the basketball... the sound of thousands rising, roaring... the sound of "get that sugar honey iced tea outta here!"

Anyone play 2048?

http://www2.d125.org/applied_arts/teched/courses/WEB/portfolios/2014_SpringP3/benyukhis_portfolio/2048-master/index.html

I found a version with nba players

Premise match equal tiles to double the value and do it until you get the 2048 or in this case, The Jordan tile

( in the original it can go beyond 2048 )

2 GoatBrook
4 Melo
8 Shaq
16 D Rose
32 Magic
64 Durant
128 Bird
256 Kobe
512 Edit: russell
1024 havent got there yet
2048 Jordan

I know the order isnt what anyone would call a goat list but the site that used to allow people to create their own is down
I came here to do two things: get lost and slice **** up & I'm all out of directions.

Summary of Today's event in Philadelphia
Popovich: I feel really bad for Brent. No Kawhi, Manu, Duncan tonight. They'll have a good chance at a win.
Silver: Jerry I'm forcing you to GM this mess.
Brown: I can't believe we're down by 40.
Hinkie: Smiling in stands.

Didn't know where to mention it, but had a random thought today. Saw the headline on Kerr returning sooner rather than later, and it occurred to me how perfect it would be if his first game back was the first loss.

Wow, I've just found this thread now, amazing read. I don't post much, but I love to read a lot of the smarts discussions in this Forum.

I'm 34 years old from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul state, Brazil , and as you may now, here soccer rules, and it's really to an extreme where only soccer is really taken seriously as a professional sport. Most of the people who follow soccer are die hard fans or close to it, but they know next to nothing about the other sports in general, it's really curious. Only when we had some outlier like Gustavo Kuerten, or the greats volleyball teams from the past decades people start to try and understand a bit of those sports. Volleyball is the second sport here really, the sport moved it up past automobilism after Ayrton Senna's tragical death in 94.

I used to be a big soccer fan, I root for Grêmio here, one of the 10 greatest soccer clubs in the country, with 2 Libertadores titles, one world title and 6 national championships. But some FIFA laws from the late 90's along the brazilian Pele law really freed up the players to go overseas, interrupting the better development of the younger players and weakening substantially brazilian soccer, so Brazil is not anymore the powerhouse it used to be. Quality of play matters a lot to me, so my interest for the sport decreased as well.

I've been an nba fan since the 93 finals, when I saw Bulls - Suns go to battle, and my interest for the sport only increases until today. In the mid to late 2000's, I was able to download a lot games from Sportscene, and I was able to do an extensive eye test research mostly on the 80's, the Lakers, Celtics, Pistons and Jordan's Bulls until their first three peat. I had the time of my life watching those old games, God bless the internet.

I tried to play basketball when I was 17 in 1998, but it was too tough of a proposition for me, bodywise. I'm 5,7 now, and about 5,5 at the time, with almost no hops at all, (my vertical may not reach even 20 inches). Had some good speed, I could hit the wide open jump shot as well, but creating was really hard. Anyway, today I do some jogging every now and then, but to play it's impossible for me, nowadays.

Anyone watch Fargo? I'm slowly working my way through the first season (no spoilers please) and I have to say it's the best show I've seen in a looooooooooooong time.

Oh boy are you in for it with the second season. They're not even on the same plane, except I don't think anyone's quite as riveting as Thornton.

Fargo season 1 = 2015 Curry
Fargo season 2 = 2016 Curry

Literally the best analogy.

Over the last few years I've caught all of Fargo, BB, AGOT, Hannibal, The Americans, TD, BCS, and a few others. Hannibal S2 or S3 and Fargo S2 are the clear standouts among them.

Whoa. You think its is on a level with Hannibal? I've been partial to The Americans the last year or so, but apparently I need to check out Fargo. Though I haven't made my way to Mr. Robot either. :(

I had that attitude too (I'm just gonna "check out" Fargo...) and literally 5 minutes in (where they introduce Billy Bob Thornton's character) I was completely hooked. Probably one of the best pilots ever produced and it only gets better from there. If I had any semblance of free time lately I'd have blown through the whole series in a couple days.

Not quite, but it (S2) stands tall above the rest IMO. It builds tension and displays an intensity at times like no other show I've seen has. The way its put together a breadth of interesting and unique characters is AGOT-esque, and the writing has been much tighter than season 1. Really one of the best I've seen (I don't want to get into depth because spoilers).

Hannibal is something else though, just an incredibly layered show. Its a cliche thing to say, but it comes into its own even further on re-watches. Its remarkable to see the contrast in the characters pre and post-Mizumono. I've also gained an appreciation for S1's killer-of-the-week style serving as introspection for Will's mental state and the state of Hannibal's growing influence over him. The attention to detail is second to none. Think about it, every exotic dish, the selection of chamber music, the whimsical dialogue - its all intentional, its all meant to convey something, and as Will eloquently puts it, every brutal choice has elegance and grace.

Watching Mr.Robot curretnly, but my boys have been on my back to watch Fargo for like over a week now. Heard a lot of good stuff about it, plus I've enjoyed the movie, if that means anything.

Movie and both seasons of the show take place in the same world, same region, but different time periods. Not really a spoiler, but certain things/characters overlap across them.

Yeah... Hannibal. Can't say enough good things about it. The way they put us in Will's head with the consistent imagery in season 1 was so innovative. Taking the tv dream sequences that began with Twin Peaks and building on them to put us in this character's head.

The attention to detail is second to none. Think about it, every exotic dish, the selection of chamber music, the whimsical dialogue - its all intentional, its all meant to convey something, and as Will eloquently puts it, every brutal choice has elegance and grace.

The mise-en-scene is like nothing else that has been done. And it's not just for "atmosphere" or "tone", it actually ties all the aspects of the show. The exotic dishes play a similar role to the crime scenes in the show, and they're more than just double entendres.
